"Cinderella" Steven Curtis Chapman

WARNING!! Listening to this song may cause tears! It certainly did for me..

I heard this song on the radio tonight while I was driving home. Good thing it was dark, because I was a crying mess! While I listened to the words, I was completely there..as a little girl, dancing with my Daddy..and I could see the future when we dance our "last dance" at my wedding. Then I could see into the future with my own husband and daughter dancing...it was a beautiful dream. This song is absolutely precious! I've posted the lyrics below, so you can read while you listen..or vice versa.

"Cinderella"

She spins and she sways
To whatever song plays
Without a care in the world
And I'm sitting here wearing
The weight of the world on my shoulders

It's been a long day
And there's still work to do
She's pulling at me saying, "Dad I need you
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh please, Daddy please"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

She says he's a nice guy
And I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says, "Dad the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh please, Daddy please"

Oh I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She will be gone

She came home today
With a ring on her hand
Just glowing and telling us
All they had planned
She says, "Dad the wedding's still six months away
But I need to practice my dancing
Oh please, Daddy please"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

The lyrics sound beautiful. I haven't heard it on the radio yet. The song that makes me and Brianne cry is "He's walking her home". Have you heard it?

I loved driving the big, sexy truck, but I didn't treat myself to the blizzard! It was so hard, because geez, they looked soooo good!!!

concerning blood diamond: it is worth it, even thought it is "sad." I would say there are some definitelty warm and fuzzy moments and I think it ends well. However, it made me want to know whether my engagement diamond is conflict-free or not. It's a wonderful film -- Netflix it. You'll love it.

And besides, Leo is way hot in the movie -- if you can look past his chain smoking...
