just call me G.I. Jane...or G.I. Jelly

Ok, nobody kill me because I'm not doing the birthday post first, but I think this one is more important! I promise that I will update about my birthday soon :0)

One thing that I wanted for my birthday and have been wanting to do lately was to get a personal trainer at the gym where I work out...and, well, I GOT HIM! I'm so excited! I've never had one before, but I'm ready to see what's going to happen. My trainer's name is Mac, and he's a really cool guy (who always gives me high fives :0). I went in last night to get everything set up to start my training.

We were having a good conversation, talking about my sessions, what we were going to do, I'm thinking this is going to be great....

and then he told me what my goals were for the next 2 weeks and completely snuffed out all my excitement of having a personal trainer.

  • I have to drink .5 to 1 gallon of water EVERY day

  • NO fried foods

  • NO Cokes/Dr. peppers

  • NO sweets

Friends, I swear that I almost cried...especially when he let that last blow fall. I have NEVER, EVER not gone without sweets in my ENTIRE LIFE!! I would think that not having sodas is going to be hard, which it will be, don't get me wrong...but I think sweets are going to be the WORST!

I know that Mac is right when he said that it's not like I'm not going to ever have a coke or eat sweets again, but he just wants to show me what all my body can and will do when I take all of those things out of my system and work out constantly. I told Bryan that what sucks the most is that I'm not one of those people who says they're going to follow the rules, but secretly sneaks something. I'm that person who will not even go NEAR any of that stuff I'm not supposed to have and will never break one of those rules....which totally SUCKS! Man, sometimes I wish that I was more of a rebel! *sigh*

I know that at the end of these 2 weeks, all my hard work will pay off. Hopefully you won't even be able to recognize me (or at least recognize less of me ;0). I'm going to try and blog daily about my success and I hope that everyone will help keep me accountable!

So, here's to going from currently being G.I. Jelly, to G.I. Jane (or anywhere in that vicinity)!

goodbye every type of chocolate that I love...goodbye Rocky Road ice cream..goodbye Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets...goodbye Sonic strawberry limeades...and *sob*, *sob*, *sob*goodbye Dr. Pepper!! I will miss you all more than you ever know! Here's to counting down until our sweet (no puns intented) reunion in 2 weeks!

;0)

Oh, this sounds miserable. But he's right -- just taking those things out of your diet will produce results, no doubt about it. I'll be praying for you, friend. You can do it!!

What are your goals anyhow?
