It's that time!!!!

Well, just call me lazy because I haven't posted recently, but I promise I'll post later! However, I have more important matters to announce! TODAY IS THE DAY...that we're going to REGISTER! Whoo hoo! I'm very excited about this, however also a little bit nervous. I guess before I just thought of registering for your wedding was just lots of fun, and you get really cool stuff, and it was no big deal. However, it's not really as a I thought. I'm sure it's going to be so much fun, but it's also required a lot of homework from us. We have done our homework, but Bryan's basically given me most of the choices when it comes to decorating and choosing things. To which then comes the stress...which color mixer to get, what colors do I want to do my kitchen in, what's my bathroom theme going to be..blah, blah, blah.

I'm honestly very glad that I've been given most of the choices in decorating our home and I know that Bryan is going to help me with decisions, but I'm just worried about choosing something wrong. I'm worried about changing my mind or not liking something I picked out and then having to live with it the rest of my life. I know I'm probably being stupid, but oh well! :0)

So, to the point of my post, I would really appreciate any comments or advice that any of you readers have when it comes to registering. I'd really appreciate it! I'll try and post later on how everything went!

That's why you can exchange things!!!! Most people will get a gift receipt for you, and if you decide you don't like something, then exchange it! Most times you can exchange without a receipt as long as you know what store the gift came from.

Have fun! We haven't made it that far yet. I hope you share your registry with us!

Over Register! You cannot imagine how many people will come out of the blue to buy you something when you get married, it sure surprised me. Also, if you register at Bed Bath and Beyond, and you take something back they give you money back instead of a instore gift card. As far as the decorating goes, dont stress, just keep it simple so that it will last a lifetime. Also if you focus on a main color for your expensive pieces like dishes, pots & pans, and mixer, you can exchange the cheaper pieces throughout the years to change things up , like your dish towels and oven mittens. I choose red because its so versitle, but go with a color you love! Sorry this is so long, but I want you to enjoy this experience as much as possible!! Hope you have fun!

I agree completely with above...OVER-register & even scan things that you don't think you'll want. Bed, Bath & Beyond has a OneTouch can opener that is battery operated that makes Chad & I happy every time we use the cool thing! (scan that one :)) And they are right, the cash back thing is awesome! :) and you'll get multiples, so, you have plenty of 'left over' stuff to return and then you will be able to make even more fun choices! :) you'll do fine!! have fun!

Yes, you can always go in and change your mind and exchange things. Do you know when you are having a shower? and where?
