Come on in and take a seat...

at our new dining room table that is! ;) We finally found her at Rooms to Go and Bryan stayed home last Friday for them to deliver it. It was torture to have to wait all week to have it delivered, but we were so glad when it was! I LOVE it! We bought 6 chairs for now, but we'll probably buy 2 more in the future. It comes with a leaf and extends to 96 inches for when we have friends or family come over. It was also perfect timing because we had some of our family come up for my birthday weekend. It was so nice to finally be able to all sit at the same table and be together!

Bryan doesn't really understand why having this table is so important to me, but it is. At this table we'll probably laugh and cry together. We'll be able to watch our babies grow at this table, spend hours talking with our friends and family, and make memories to last a lifetime. Hopefully one day, we'll still be sitting at this table, talking about all of our memories. It might sound silly, but that's how I feel! :)

and here's my handsome husband! :)

GREAT news!

So, yesterday when I got home and checked the mail, I saw that we had a big packet from our taxes guy. This year we decided to have the guy that Bryan's family has used for years do our taxes (since we got married and all that jazz). We filled out everything and sent it in, and then yesterday we got all of our information back in the mail! When I saw how much our refund was, saying that I was thrilled is putting it lightly! I called Bryan immediately and told him, and he shouted out a big whoo hoo! Let's just say that with our refund money, we'll be able to do a lot, and get several things that we've been waiting for. For example, a new DINING ROOM TABLE!! Whoo hoo! I've been waiting for a real dining room table for over a year now, and I'm so excited that I'm finally going to be able to get one that I'm about to pee my pants! We've started looking around at furniture stores, and are going tonight to several stores to just look around and price check. We got all of our furniture last year from The Dump in Dallas and LOVE that place! We'll see what all is in the surrounding area before we go to The Dump.

We want something that's rectangular, dark cherry wood, and seats at least 6, but includes a leaf to seat 8. With both of our families being so large, it's really important to me to have a table big enough that we can all sit around and be in the same room! I'm also so excited because I'll actually get to use all of my nice table settings that I got from the wedding! Yippee!!

So my question for you is, where did you find your dining room table or where is your favorite place to shop for furniture with good deals?

P.S Thanks a lot for all of your comments yesterday about the birthday post! I really appreciate it!

If you could, what would you ask for?

So, my birthday is coming up soon, in like 11 days! Whoo hoo! I'll be the big 2-7. WOW~ that just feels really old to me! I know most people will say it's not, but to me it feels that way. Anyways, to the point of this post, my hubby and others have been asking me what I want for my birthday. You know how every year you get asked that question, and you try to think of things that you want and one of two things will happen. 1, you automatically know exactly what you want, or 2, you have no idea. What normally happens to me is that I will just come up with something, but then after my birthday I'll think of really good ideas or things I should have asked for.

So, my question is, if you had to make a birthday list of things you really wanted for your birthday, what would you ask for? Hopefully, I'll get some good ideas from ya'll and steal them! Oh and also, what is your favorite movie/movies? I can't wait to see all of your answers!

It’s getting close!

Yes, that would be my graduation from graduate school! May 15th to be exact! I can't wait! J

This afternoon they were having a graduation fair at the Mesquite metroplex, so I drove to Bryan's school after he got done with tutoring and picked him to go to Mesquite. Poor thing was not feeling well..he's basically lost his voice because he had to lecture and his throat was killing him. This morning he was in so much pain, he got up at 5:30, YES AM, to go and get his prescription filled. Hopefully now that he's on his antibiotics, he'll be able to get to feeling better soon.

We made it to Mesquite and I was able to try on and buy my cap and gown right there on the spot. I also was able to order my invitations, so that was very exciting! After we left, Bryan kept telling me that he was so proud of me, that I'm the "smartest Moss" and the only one with her masters (that is until he finishes his next year)! It made me feel very special!

We celebrated by going and eating a yummy dinner at McAlister's and that was G-O-O-D! I did have to get on Skype and we had to show Mom and Dad me in my cap and tassel! ;) I thought that it was really funny that the gowns have "wings" on them..seriously. It's hilarious and yes, I did put my gown on and run around flapping my "wings". Now, if I can only figure out how to put on that ginormous collar…..

Confused….

Well people, I've been sitting here, trying to think of something interesting to write about, but I'm coming up with nothing. I get that this is supposed to be more like my own personal online journal (that everyone is allowed to see..hehe), but I will admit that I love all of my blog friends that I've made and love reading your blogs. I just have no idea how you do some things! Like, how in the world do you get all of those comments? Seriously..I think the post that I got the most comments on was when I announced that I was engaged, but I haven't come close to getting that many comments in a LONG time! Plus, I just wrote 2 very long posts about my trips to London and Germany and got NO comments at all except for Tyly (thank you Tyly for your comment J). I know that I'm probably being a big baby, but it just gets frustrating when you work so hard and long on some posts and nobody ever says anything about it at all. Ok, I'm done with my rant now.

Question number two, how in the world do you all get so many followers? I added the box and follow other people but, I don't know how to get more followers. Ok, well I guess that's all. I still don't have anything interesting to talk about. My husband is now sick, and stayed home yesterday. That was great fun. He went to the Dr. and got 2 shots in the hiney and lots of meds, so he should be on the road to recovery. Bad news is that my ear still is stopped up and I can't hear ANYTHING. That is annoying as CRAP! I'm so over it.

Ok, husband is yelling at me to get off and go to bed, so goodnight all!

Happy Easter Weekend!

Well, we're in Shreveport for Easter weekend and I'm SO glad for this little break! I've definitely been in need of it! Unfortunately, I'm a little under the weather and have been all week. L Hence, the lack of blogging lately. My week has gone a little something like this!

Last weekend was spent working on homework, but Bryan and I did go watch some of my girl's soccer games. It was their first game of the season and they were so glad I came! We had fun watching them! The weather was beautiful, windy, but nice. Bryan and I officially got our first sunburn! After the game, we went and got a snack at Sonic, and went to Lowes to get fertilizer. I took Bryan back to the house so he could go fertilize our lawn and then I went shopping for a new Easter dress! That was fun!

I of course put off all of my graduate school homework until the last minute! I had my regular homework (reading 3 books, doing pithy quotes, writing a reaction paper) plus my course essays to write. Those are 4 essays over 4 core classes that I've taken over the past 3 years. I worked finished my homework over the weekend and then had class on Monday night. Then, I wrote one essay on Sun/Mon, one on Tues and started another, then finished the rest on Wednesday. Tuesday night I had to go to the PTA meeting, and then worked on an essay. I also had to prepare for a meeting that I was hosting on Wednesday for part of my leadership class final, so I was stressed out about that too! After we went to the soccer games on Saturday, I started to feel under the weather. We thought it was just allergies, so I didn't really think anything of it. However, it got worse during the week, so we decided it wasn't allergies. I didn't sleep good all week long because I had a horrible cough. Then, I woke up Wednesday morning with a really bad ear ache in my right ear. Bryan thought I should go to our clinic that the district provides, but I checked online and they didn't have ANY appointments available. Bryan told me to go after school and ask them if they would look at me even without an appointment, bc one of his coworkers had been in the same situation and she ended up being seen without an appointment, so I said ok. I barely survived on Wednesday, but made it through and my meeting I hosted went really good.

I cleaned up really fast and then raced over to the clinic at the perfect time. The last appointment they take of the day is at 4:40 and I got there at like 4:55, so the Dr. would have been seeing her last patient and then could have seen me (which would have taken like no time at all). So I walked into the clinic and told the receptionist that I didn't have an appointment, but I was pretty sure that I had an ear infection and could the Dr. see me. She told me NO! She said they had two appointments available the next day at 1 and 2, but I told her that I was a teacher and couldn't make those appointments. She was like, well we're closed on Friday, so the earliest I can get you in is on Monday. HELLO?!! DID YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID! ARE YOU STUPID? That's what I was yelling at her in my head, however, I said, "So you're telling me that she can't see me"? and she said yes. She didn't even go ask the Dr! I just said thanks and walked out. I was sooooo mad!

Long story short, I ended up going to a Care Now clinic and saw a Dr. He took one look in my ear and said, "Wow! That's really inflamed! You definitely have an ear infection!" Yeah, no duh! He ended up giving me 2 antibiotics and I'm now taking them and feeling a smidge better. He told me not to expect to get better fast though, because middle ear infections in adults take a long time to heal. He told me he had one that lasted a month. Thank you Mr. Dr. for that! That really makes me feel good!

So, I survived one more day of school yesterday, then we packed and drove down to Shreveport last night. Can you tell I'm ready for some rest, and relaxation! J I hope that your week and weekend is NOTHING like mine was! Happy Easter!

London, Days 4-6, Germany, Day 7

We woke up around 3:30 am on Monday morning to get ready for our flight to London. We rode the train to the airport and made our flight with no problems! We arrived to beautiful London around 8:00 and got through customs without any problems! From the airport we decided to take a train into downtown London. We rode that train for about 30 minutes and then got onto the London Tube. This is where we got our first taste of London! People were EVERYWHERE and moving at a fast rate speed. You seriously had to get out of the way, or you were going to get run over! This made things very interesting with a baby and stroller, plus all of our suitcases, and us trying to figure out where we were going and which trains we needed to take! After switching trains several times and me almost getting smooshed by one, we finally made it to downtown London! We then went on the search for our hotel. Thank goodness we found it without too much trouble! Our hotel was AWESOME! Jason definitely got a great deal on our hotel and it was at the perfect location! We unpacked, went straight and ate lunch at McDonald's and it was great! Haha!

After lunch, we headed to the visitor's center to go get our day pass. These passes would gain us entrance into lots of different places, instead of us having to pay at each place we went to. After we got our passes, we began our sightseeing. We walked to the House of Parliament and unfortunately they were closed for the day, so we just walked around. After that we went across the street to Westminster Abby and planned to go inside. However, after we waited in line and got up to the door, we found out that they didn't accept our pass and it would cost us about 15 pounds to get inside, so we said no thank you and left! I just took a lot of pretty pictures and away we went!

That afternoon we saw the London Eye, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace at night. It was all so beautiful and so much fun! We did sooooo much walking that day and were so exhausted, so we decided to ride the bus back to our hotel! We finally figured out that our passes we bought for the Tube would also work on the buses, so from that on the bus was our major mode of transportation! We got to ride on the top of the bus on our way back, so Bryan was very excited! We ate at a little restaurant near our hotel and then headed back to the hotel for the night.

After a great night's sleep, we woke up and started day two! Day 2 consisted of seeing the Tower of London, the London Bridge, Millennium Bridge (yes the one from Harry Potter) and St. Paul's Cathedral. That evening Bryan and I went back to Buckingham Palace. Since we went late the night before, I didn't get very good pictures because it was so dark. So we went back for round two since it was still light outside! I was so glad that we did because we got there right one time and were able to see the changing of the guards! It was so cool and I was so glad we went back! J

We stopped at a corner market that night and got some snacks, then went back to our hotel to relax before we went to bed. That next morning we woke up at 3:30 am again in order to make our flight back to Germany. We rode a bus and then got back onto the train to take us to the airport. We made it to the airport and made our flight back to Germany.

When we got back to Germany, we took naps and just relaxed for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Bryan and I got everything packed and ready to fly back to the states. We woke up early the next morning, said our goodbyes, and then were on our way home! Thankfully, our flight back to the States was nowhere as bad as the flight over had been! It was annoying having to stop in Atlanta to get onto another plane, because let me tell you, that's the last thing you want to do at that moment! You just want to be there already!

We arrived back in Dallas and were so glad to be back! The only bad thing is that when we switched planes in Atlanta, they sent one of our bags to Kansas City! Um, what? Yeah, we were mad, but thank goodness they sent it to our house the next day, so everything turned out fine!

We celebrated being back in the states by going to our favorite Texas Roadhouse! We were completely exhausted and almost falling asleep while eating our dinner, but it was so good! J

We made it back home safe and sound and had a wonderful spring break! It was definitely a spring break to remember! J We ended up taking around 500 pictures, so if you're brave enough to look at them all, you can check them out on Facebook. Here are all the links!
