Great news!!

Well, one reason that I haven't been able to post lately is because Bryan and I have been working on paperwork for OUR NEW HOUSE!! We're so excited!! Now, everything's not "officially" official yet, but Thursday we put our offer in and as of Friday they counter offered our offer with something we were completely ok with! We're just waiting to hear back from our realtor, but we accepted their offer and hopefully the rest is history! If everything works out like planned, we'll close around April 15th! We're SOOOOOOOOO excited! I'll be updating you soon on the house and hopefully next time I can show you pictures!! Please keep praying that everything works out! Here's to hoping that we're almost new homeowners!!!

Will you be my Valentine??

Bryan and I had a great Valentine's Day weekend! I have to take a moment and brag on him for a while!

The Thursday before Valentine's Day, I received a package at school. In this package were red tulips and some yummy Godiva chocolates, with a sweet note from my fiancee! He knows how much I love getting flowers at school, and it was also our 11 month anniversary, so he sent flowers early so I could enjoy them before I came to Shreveport. So sweet!

I went to Shreveport that weekend and spent Valentine's Day with Bryan and his family. When I woke up on Saturday morning, I woke to see these beautiful flowers!

Bryan said that he also wanted to me to have Shreveport flowers, so yes, I got two sets of flowers. Isn't he amazing?!! Yes, I know, I'm spoiled. :)
Here's a close up of one of the lilies in my arrangement. I thought it was beautiful!

Valentine's Day night we got all dressed up and went and ate at a yummy Italian restaurant in Shreveport. We just spent the night together, and it was a great night! Our first official Valentine's Day as a couple was a great success! I love you Bryan Mitchell Moss! :)

a concert dream come true!!

My best friend Jacque called me a couple of weeks ago with some great news that she was freaking out about...which, after she told me, is completely understandable! ;0) She said that she just heard on the news that GEORGE STRAIT and REBA MCENTIRE were going to be in concert in Dallas!!!!!!!

YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! You need to understand that seeing these two artists in concert TOGETHER is something that Jacque, Jason, and I have been hoping, wishing, and dreaming of, for most of our lives. Being able to see them both in concert has always just been a dream..that for all of us actually came true last week! THAT'S RIGHT! We all (Jacque, Jason, Bryan, and I) all got tickets (amazing tickets!!) to the June 6th concert!!! WHOOO HOOO! It's going to be perfect timing because that is literally the Saturday that I get out of school! I can't think of a better way to kick off the summer! ;)

The best part is that we got the tickets in the mail yesterday. Oh yes, here they are for your viewing pleasure!! Be jealous, be very jealous!!!

so embarrassed!

So I just read that it says that I wrote my last post 2 weeks ago! I don't think that I've ever gone that long without posting! Geez! Well, at least I haven't been a total slacker~I've still been reading all of your blogs! Hehe..I just haven't been able to find the desire to blog myself. Today, my long absence of posting will end!! :) I have time because right now, I am sitting in the classroom..B-R-Y-A-N'S classroom!! :) He and his students are working on chemistry problems..um..no thanks! There's a reason why I'm a kindergarten teacher and he's a high school teacher. Haha.

This past weekend I drove to Louisiana, then did MORE driving with Bryan down to Hammond, LA for a gymnastics meet. We got down there Friday night, and came back yesterday afternoon. I didn't feel like driving/being in the car for a total of 6.5 hrs on Sunday, so I took off today, and stayed in Shreveport. I'm glad I did, because I'm glad I finally get to see Bryan in the classroom. He's seen me many times, but I've never had the chance to spend the day with him at school, so I decided to go ahead and do it! We had a good weekend, just a lot of driving!

I'm going to try and catch everybody up with what's been going on the past few weeks, so I'm just going to split it up and do a lot of little posts! The more the better!

Hope ya'll have a great day and a great week!

Check him out!

Well, I'm happy to say that my wonderful fiance' Bryan has finally entered into the blog world! However, I'm sad to say that he never writes on his blog! He's good about reading mine..but not so much writing on his! So, I need everybody's help to comment on his blog and harass him! That way maybe he'll feel bad and write more! ;) Hehe!

Anyways, check him out here!

a much better day!

Well, I'm happy to report that I actually had a better day at school with my kids. It might have to do with the fact that they spent most of the day OUT of my room, rather than in it, but who knows? ;0)

Today we celebrated the 100th day of school -even though it was really only the 99th...shhhh don't tell the kids! Because of a bad weather day we had, it would have pushed our celebration to a Monday instead of a Friday. Monday anyone??? NO THANK YOU! So Friday it was! At my school we do a rotation day where each K teacher plans an activity, and then each kindergarten class rotates around to each teacher. I like it because for 30 minutes you get to have someone elses class for a change. Sometimes this is very good....sometimes this is very bad!! Overall, it was a good experience and we all had fun!

This afternoon before recess, one of my little girls came up to be with her hand behind her back and said, "Ms. Snodgrass I have a surprise for you!" I said, "oh really?" Then she goes, "Here you go Ms. Snodgrass! This is for making this the best day EVER!" And then she gave me one tiny chocolate chip (in one of the classes they all made trail mix and did 10 groups of 10 different foods)! It was sooooooo cute! I told her that she was so sweet and thank you so much!

She then ran back to her table and was like, "Guys, if you give Ms. Snodgrass something she'll tell you thank you!" I was thinking..um, why is she acting like this is a complete shock or something? Geezz..making me look bad here! ;0) So, after that, the news spread fast and all of my kids kept coming up to me and giving me something, to which I made a big deal out of. They would run back to their tables and be like, "Wow! She did say thank you!" Haha..

a much better day we had..a much better day! :0)

February 3, 2009

Well this is how boring this post will be..so boring that I can't even think up a title. All I can do is just date it! Geez..well, we'll go the pathetic way tonight and just bullet this baby through! :0)

EXCITING THINGS!

  • Bryan drove in to visit this past weekend!
  • We got our Save the Dates mailed out!
  • Bryan took me car shopping which was very fun. We're not ready to buy yet, but will be soon!
  • We think we more than likely found the place where we're going to buy/build a house! They had A-M-A-Z-I-N-G deals...Bryan was very excited! We met James, he was awesome. Hopefully he will be our friend and I hope to have more news to update soon!
  • My mom's friend gave her a brand new veil. It's mine if I want it. Only problem is that it's white. Anyone know how to dye a veil ivory?
  • Bryan and I have been on the quest to loose weight and get into superb shape for the wedding. I have been going to the gym and working out at least 3 times a week, started Weight Watchers, and cut out all soda (well during the week at least!). I only drink water mostly, or sugar free fruit punch. Bryan got me hooked! Sadly, Bryan has been beating my butt and already has lost 24ish lbs in one month. Sadly, I have only lost 4 to date. :0( This has been a bit discouraging to me, because I'm doing my best and not cheating or anything. I guess our bodies are just different. Bryan says that he can tell I've lost weight, so I guess I'll believe him! I just think of it as, "Well would you like to weigh 4 more lbs or 4 less lbs?" and the answer is always easy. I'm just going to keep up my hard work. I know SOMETIME it's going to pay off. Plus, I do have another 5 months to lose it all! ;0)
  • I'm SO ready for Valentine's Day! This is my first year with an "official" Valentine. I know that last year Bryan sent me roses, but we weren't official yet. So, I'm very excited about this year!!

NOT so exciting things

  • my kids have been H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E aaaaaallllllllllllllll week long. I honestly don't know what it is. It's like someone stole my good/ok kids and replaced them with possessed children. To tell the truth, most of you (even fellow teachers) probably wouldn't last in my classroom this week with these devils. I don't know how I've been able to.
  • bad kids
  • bad kids
  • bad kids
  • is it Friday yet?

Ok, well I guess when you look at it the good things outweigh the bad ones! I'll just focus on those. HA!

shoes and makeup

Ok people, I need your help. Where did you get your makeup done/who did it/what did you use for your wedding (or any other fancy event in your life) and where did you get your shoes/what brand/what's your opinion on wedding shoes? I definitely want something that I'm going to be comfortable in, but I also want them to look glamourous! ;0) I also don't know what to do about my makeup. I have someone doing my hair already, but I don't have anyone for makeup. So help me out here people! I need ideas! Please???!!

THANKS!! :0)

I got my dress!

Yesterday was a day that I've been dreaming of for over 25 years. :0) I FINALLY (I said finally like I've been searching for months or something..haha) found my wedding dress..the ONE! It's beautiful, gorgeous, perfect, and everything I was looking for and didn't know I wanted! ;0) I was blessed to find it in Shreveport this weekend with my future MIL and SIL. We had a great time!

It was quite an adventure in the beginning when "Grandma" was trying to help us, but thank goodness we were successful when Mrs. Jodie came to the rescue! I tried on several dresses, even after I tried on "my" dress. I knew I liked it the most out of all that I tried on, but still kept trying on dresses just to make sure! I knew it was the one when I kept going back to this one! It all worked out perfectly. I was able to take it right off the rack, another blessing, now that I don't have to worry about ordering it and tons of alterations! I'm just going to have to have the hem altered a bit, but that shouldn't be very hard! I was very pleased overall with our trip! I'm so glad that I found it this weekend. :0)

Of course I can't put a picture of my dress online, (even though Bryan promises he won't look..haha) but if you want to see it, let me know and I'll e-mail it!

YAY for finding the perfect wedding dress!

weekend recap :0)

Well this is going to be short and sweet because Bryan is fixing to call, but my weekend was pretty good! All the family/moms arrived Fri. night/Saturday morning and the girls headed out to try on dresses. I ended up going to Terry Costa and David's Bridal. It was a lot of fun trying on wedding dresses, but good Lord, I didn't know it was so much work! Who would have thought trying on dresses was such a work out, but it was! Even though it was lots of fun, I didn't end up finding THE ONE. I found lots of things that I liked in each dress, but not all of them in one dress, that was in my price range. I was a little disappointed, but it was ok. At least I tried on different things, so now I know what I do/don't like. I'll keep searching until I find THE ONE! :0)

We were all able to go by our reception site, Edison's, for the first time. It was AMAZING and we absolutely loved it. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. It suits Bryan and I so much and I'm so happy! I can't wait!

Other productive things that we got done were editing the guest list and estimating who was/wasn't coming along with all the maybe's. Good times..haha. We also had a very successful day at Market on Monday. I'm happy to announce that we were able to get my wedding band! It's a long story, but we ended up getting it at a completely different store than where Bryan bought my engagement ring. It turned out perfect because it matches my ring perfectly, was in my exact size, and was the perfect price! The ring turned out to be half off, and it was wayyyy cheaper than Bryan had even planned on spending! It was a complete miracle and we were all so happy! Whoo hoo! Bryan even let me wear it for like an hour before he took it home. I was sad to see it leave, but excited that we got it!

This weekend my dress hunt will still continue, as I now head to Shreveport. Hopefully I'll find THE ONE this weekend, but who knows! I know she's out there somewhere! Haha..

Well, I better sign off for the night. Sweet dreams!

I have no motivation!

I have so much stuff to get done, however all I want to do is stay on the internet. Bryan says I have an addiction, and I'm sure he's right! ;0)

My house is a complete mess. My Christmas tree is still up. Along with the decorations. I guess it was so exciting this year that Bryan was here this year to help put everything Christmas up, that I just don't want to take it down without him..but I must. The clothes that I washed 2 weeks ago are still in the laundry basket, in the middle of my room..in the way-but I haven't moved them. I just keep adding things to it. The clean dishes are still in the dishwasher and the dirty ones are in the sink. Why can't I just put them up?

Oh and I also haven't even started to finish all my report cards. Yeah, they go home tomorrow.

The good reason that I have to get all of this stuff done is that on Friday Bryan is coming! Not only is he coming, but so is my future mother and sister in law, AND my mom! We have big plans for this weekend! Saturday we're going to take the moms and Rachel to see our church and reception site, and then all the girls are going dress shopping! This is my first time so I'm really excited! I can't wait for all of them to get here!

So I guess I better get off my lazy butt and kick the cleaning into overdrive :0)

within such bleakness comes great beauty

These pictures were taken this past Monday at school. This was the view outside my window! :0) It was beautiful.

It's finally finished..or most of it! ;0)

Yes, I am talking about our wedding website! I've actually had it and been working on it for a while, but I've just wanted it to be perfect before I announced it to the world. However, I realized it would likely be June and still might not be perfect, so I've done what I can for now, and am just letting it go! So, without further delay, I am proud to announce our wedding website! Check it out and leave us some comments! I can't wait! ;0)

It's that time!!!!

Well, just call me lazy because I haven't posted recently, but I promise I'll post later! However, I have more important matters to announce! TODAY IS THE DAY...that we're going to REGISTER! Whoo hoo! I'm very excited about this, however also a little bit nervous. I guess before I just thought of registering for your wedding was just lots of fun, and you get really cool stuff, and it was no big deal. However, it's not really as a I thought. I'm sure it's going to be so much fun, but it's also required a lot of homework from us. We have done our homework, but Bryan's basically given me most of the choices when it comes to decorating and choosing things. To which then comes the stress...which color mixer to get, what colors do I want to do my kitchen in, what's my bathroom theme going to be..blah, blah, blah.

I'm honestly very glad that I've been given most of the choices in decorating our home and I know that Bryan is going to help me with decisions, but I'm just worried about choosing something wrong. I'm worried about changing my mind or not liking something I picked out and then having to live with it the rest of my life. I know I'm probably being stupid, but oh well! :0)

So, to the point of my post, I would really appreciate any comments or advice that any of you readers have when it comes to registering. I'd really appreciate it! I'll try and post later on how everything went!
