Bryan and I decided that we wanted to take a last little vacation before Abigail arrived, so we decided to take a babymoon to Hot Springs, AR during our spring break!
I did some research and knew that I wanted our stay to be all about relaxation! I decided that I wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast because we'd never been to one before. I searched online and found Williams House Inn. We stayed in the East Chamber room and liked it! It was a little smaller than what it looked like online, but we didn't have any complaints!
When we arrived it was in a kinda iffy part of town, so we didn't expect that, but our host/hostesses were extremely welcoming. They took us to our room and let us get settled in. We relaxed for a while and spent some time reading The Hunger Games before we left to go eat dinner. We at Olive Garden and it was super yummy! We then went back to our room and relaxed some more and I was able to take the most amazing bath in our jetted tub! That was my favorite thing about the room! I wish I had one of those tubs!
The next day we woke up and had a yummy homemade breakfast at the inn (provided every morning), relaxed some more, went driving around Hot Springs seeing the sights, then ate lunch and went back to the inn. That afternoon we went and saw some of Bryan's friends who own a gym in Hot Springs. He worked there for a while when he was in college, so we dropped by to say hello!
One thing I wish that I had done before the trip was to research good places to eat at. I was craving Mexican food that night so we went to one random restaurant. I can remember Bryan suggesting that we not go there because it wasn't going to be the Mexican food that I was used to. We were in Arkansas after all! I ignored him though and insisted that we go to this place. Well, of course Bryan was right and it turned out to be the nastiest Mexican food I'd ever eaten! We really didn't end up eating much of it and left as fast as we could! I felt SO bad because Bryan tried to warn me and I didn't listen to him. I almost cried, but he said he didn't care. That's why I love him so much!
We spent the rest of our trip relaxing and then headed home! I did enjoy our stay, but I don't think we'll be back to a bed and breakfast. I don't think it's really our "thing"; however, I would recommend staying at the Williams House Inn if you're ever in Hot Springs!
