Christmas in Lorena!

Bryan and I have been enjoying the past weekend and the last couple of days being as lazy as humanly possible! :)

We ended up celebrating our own family Christmas on Monday and had a great time! We made some football food, watched Charlie Brown Christmas, opened our gifts, and then went and looked at Christmas lights! My baby was very good to me this Christmas! :) He gave me a gift certificate to go and get a manicure/pedicure, a Nicholas Sparks book and the new Twilight book! He also gave me three pairs of new shoes/boots from Target, yipee! I also got a car ipod charger and an iTunes gift card! Whoo hoo!

From me, Bryan got a Xbox Live account for 1 year (so he can play with his brother), a pair of workout clothes, a stainless steel coffee mug that he's been begging for, a new snazzy coffee pot, a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings, a cool new electric pencil sharpener, an Eric Church c.d and a new beard trimmer! He was very happy!

We woke up on Tuesday morning and went into Dallas to see Jacque. She had her gastric bypass surgery Tuesday morning, so we went to hang out with Jason and Jilly while she was in surgery. She came through with passing colors and the surgery went great! We waited until they brought her back to the room and stayed for a little while. After we left the hospital, we headed straight to Lorena to spend Christmas with my family.

We relaxed yesterday and then this morning we woke up, had a great, yummy breakfast, and then opened presents with my family! This afternoon I got to go grab coffee with my bestie Kyrbie, so that was lots of fun! We didn't have as much time to catch up as I'd like, but I was thankful to get to see her! Tonight Bryan and I went to the candlelight service at my parent's church with my parents and it was great! Afterwards we went to eat dinner at Olive Garden and had a fun double date! Great end to a great day!

Tomorrow morning we're heading to spend Christmas Day with my grandparents in Brady, and then headed to Comanche tomorrow night to stay with my Uncle Kinley and Aunt Delinda and their family! I can't wait!

Oh and did I mentioned it snowed today??!! Best Christmas gift ever!

I hope that you all are safe and happy tonight, enjoying this Christmas with your families!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!

Christmas Updates!

Merry Christmas Eve blog friends!

Well, I guess it's time for the updates of all updates! I'll try to explain the reasons for the lapse in my posting the past couple of weeks since I have a little bit of time!

I can now officially say that I am done with my fall semester of grad school and I found out today that I made an A in my class! That was definitely one hard earned A! :) Now, only one more semester to go and then I'll be done! Whoo hoo!

The sad news is that our camera broke and I can't find my old one, so the only pictures that I've been taking the past couple of months have been on my phone. However, I can't find my cord to download all my pictures off my phone to my laptop. I also have tried and tried to upload pictures from my phone onto Facebook, but haven't been successful. Meaning, no pictures, sad day. :( Sometime soon, if I ever find that cord I'm just going to post lots and lots of pictures!

Now, back to the update, Thanksgiving with the Moss Family was a success! Jason, Whitney, and Everett arrived safely and we were able to spend lots of time spoiling our nephew..who I might add is the sweetest, cutest, most precious little boy ever! ;) He definitely loved his Aunt Chelsey and Uncle Bryan the best! ;)

My brother Chandler and the Lorena Leopards made it to the Regional Quarter Finals and played all the way into December! We were so proud of them, because of how great their season was. We haven't made it that far in a very long time!

Well, that's about all I can think of right now. I'm going to post about Christmas in a seperate
post! :)

Christmas Traditions

Since it's going to be Bryan and mine's first married Christmas, we've been talking about family traditions that we want to start and continue as our family expands in the future! One tradition we've already started is that we go and visit a Christmas tree farm and choose a live Christmas tree.

What are your favorite Christmas traditions that you do now, or may have done when you were a child?

I'm back!

Sorry for my long hiatus, but I'm back in the real world and read to update you all on the goings on in the Moss household during the past few weeks! UNFORTUNATELY, I don't have enough time to do it now. :) Hopefully later on this afternoon/evening!

I've still been reading all of your posts and keeping up with all of YOU but haven't made time for myself! Oh and Kyrbie, I'm still reading, but still wasn't able to post a comment! :)

Miss you guys! I'll update soon!

1st grade funny of the day!

This morning my class was brainstorming words for our Long U word families of the week. We went to the word family of -ube, and I asked the students to brainstorm words that would fit into this family.

Well, I totally had one girl raise her hand and yell out "BOOB!"

I'll admit, I snickered (along with the rest of the class) and then politely informed her that no, that word was not spelled correctly to be in the -ube family and I quickly moved on to the next volunteer!

Oh, the funnies of 1st grade!! :) :)

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha...........

Is it Friday yet?

Well, it looks like I'm not the only one that hasn't been posting lately. I'm hitting a dry spell people! I just don't know what to write about, and the things that I do think of, I don't want to do. Oh well..

Small things I thought of:

  • This Saturday is my brother's playoff game in Corsicana. I can't WAIT!
  • I love the sunshine and everything, but BRING BACK THE COLD WEATHER! It's November already!
  • I got to go visit the salon on Tuesday and get my hair cut and colored! That was super fun, and my head is looking pretty good if I do say so myself! ;)
  • I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that is counting down the seconds until Thanksgiving break. :) I'm so ready.
  • Even more because my brother & sister in law, and baby nephew that live in Germany are coming in and going to be there for Thanksgiving!
  • We're also taking family pictures during Thanksgiving break on the Moss side since all the family is going to be there, so that should be a lot of fun!
  • My MIL and I think SIL are going to come down a day early and we're all going to do Christmas shopping at Dallas Market! Um, me taking off a day of school to go do some major shopping? YES, PLEASE!!! :) :) :)
  • I'm really busy with my grad school right now because I'm working on my research and am in the middle of collecting all of my data at school with the kids. It's been a crazy whirlwind of a time, but I think I'll get everything I need. Now, if I can just get my paper taken care of! :)
  • December 7th can't come fast enough (this is my last fall class of the semester)!!
  • Today is my precious friend Morgan's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! WE LOVE YOU MORGAN!!!

Ok, well I think that's all of the rambling that I can think of for now! Hope you have a great day!

Lorena tops La Vega to win district title, 21-7

I took this story off of the Waco Trib. My youngest brother Chandler is #11! :) Way to go Leopards!! Here's another story that names Chandler specifically. Read it! :)

By Jason Orts Tribune-Herald staff writer
Saturday, November 07, 2009

LORENA — Since Lorena moved up to Class 3A in 1990, it had never been able to call itself a district champion.

That changed Friday night.

Behind an inspired defensive attack that shut down the prolific La Vega running game, the Leopards clinched the District 19-3A title with a 21-7 victory.

“It’s awesome,” Lorena coach Ray Biles said. “It’s been a long time since this community has been able to have a gold football.”

The Leopards (7-3, 4-1) never trailed and their swarming defense not only shut out the Pirates in the second half, but came up with the clinching touchdown.

With 2:19 left in the game, La Vega got the ball at its own 5, looking to mount a drive to even the score.

But on the second play, Justin Mottley got to La Vega quarterback Tony Montoya in the end zone. Montoya fumbled the ball, and Lorena’s Brent Berryhill pounced on it for a touchdown.
“It changes the complexion of the game when you have the confidence that you’re going to pin them down there and then stop them,” Biles said. “We didn’t move the ball very well, and that’s a credit to La Vega’s defense. But from an offensive standpoint, when your defense comes to play like that, you can afford not to roll the dice.”

Safety Marty Bacerra put the final nail in the coffin with an interception on La Vega’s frantic final drive.

La Vega had a difficult time getting decent field position all night and started drives from its own
10, 9, 12, 15, 8 and 5.

Lorena's Evan Ward bulls ahead for a few yards against the La Vega defense in the first half. (Jose Yau photo)

Lorena's Tito Dejesus makes a catch over La Vega's Devonte Jones in the first half of the Leopards' 21-7 win Friday night to earn the District 19-3A title. (Jose Yau photo)
Compounding the offensive problems for the Pirates (6-4, 3-2) was that they hurt themselves throughout the game with presnap penalties and fumbled snaps.

“That’s just a lack of focus,” La Vega coach Willie Williams said. “You can’t have that.”

The Leopards did roll the dice in the kicking game, recovering an onside kick to open the second half.

They were stopped on fourth down, but forced a La Vega three-and-out. A low snap on the punt allowed Lorena’s Raymond Yusuf to partially block the kick, which traveled only 15 yards.

That set the Leopards up at the Pirate 45, and this time, they took advantage.

A pass interference penalty moved Lorena to the 30. Two plays later, Kailin Ketcherside busted through a huge hole in the middle of the line and went 30 yards for a score to put the Leopards ahead, 14-7, with 7:24 left in the third quarter.

“A lot of the conversation this week was that we had to play from ahead,” Biles said. “We were fortunate that Kailin popped the big run. If you get behind them, they start (pounding you with the run).”

In the fourth quarter, the Leopards went almost exclusively with Evan Ward at quarterback, and he finished with 111 yards on 27 carries.

Lorena took advantage of a La Vega miscue to get on the board in the first quarter.

The Pirates fumbled at their own 15 and Colby Gordon recovered for the Leopards. It took Lorena six plays from there, with Sky Dolezel taking it in from the 1-yard line.

La Vega answered in the second quarter with an explosive nine-play, 91-yard march. That included a 33-yard pass from Devin McGowan to Garrett Nunley, and those two combined for a spectacular play to get the Pirates on the board.

McGowan broke through the line on the left side, broke all the way back across the field and streaked down the right sideline, where he was finally tracked down at the Lorena 10. But as McGowan was going down, he flipped the ball to Nunley, who took the ball into the end zone.

But that was the only time the Pirates could get anything going all night.

The good news for La Vega is that it had already clinched a playoff spot, but that didn’t console Williams on Friday.

“We didn’t want to back into the playoffs,” he said. “We wanted to have some momentum going in. I’m happy for (Coach Biles) and happy for Lorena, but it hurts when you don’t play well.”

The Leopards are the top Division II school from 19-3A and will meet Brownsboro in the bi-district round, while the Pirates are the Division I representative and will face Athens.

BC question

Ok, I have a random question for you ladies out there that are currently taking birth control.

Random, I know, but does anybody know if it's true that when you're sick/taking antibiotics that the birth control doesn't work/isn't as effective? I think I've heard that from someone, somewhere, but we didn't know if it's true or not.

Anybody heard anything? Also, what birth control's are ya'll on? I'm trying to find something cheaper. The one I'm on right now is a 3 month bc and I think it's called Quasense? I don't want a patch..tried that, didn't like it. I like the 3 month.

Give me your info! Thanks ladies! :)

October 27, 2009

Not too much exciting is going on in the Moss household, except dealing with traveling, school work, grad school, parent conferences, etc. However the one exciting thing worth blogging about is that today is Bryan and mine's 4 month anniversary! Whoo hoo! I told Bryan tonight that it feels like we've been married for YEARS, instead of just a few short months! I guess it's just me though! :) We celebrated by going grocery shopping and then getting dinner from Chick-fil-A (me) and Taco Bell (Bryan)! F-A-N-C-Y let me tell you! ;) We actually do like going grocery shopping together. Speaking of groceries, I better go put them up!

Night friends!

Happy Friday!

Well, I just wanted to give a quick update on my father in law! I'm happy to report that he got to go home yesterday so that was very exciting! Of course, he was trying to go back to work today! He's a Moss! ;) We're glad that everything's great now, but please keep praying for him. He's not allowed to drive for 6 months, so you can imagine that this doesn't really make things easy for him and the family, especially with him owning his own business! We know God will provide though! :)

I drove back to Rockwall on Monday night and went back to work on Tuesday. Bryan came home on Tuesday afternoon and I was really glad to have him back! I don't know how I lived without him before! My life was so quiet, clean, and boring. Hehe...

Hopefully we can enjoy a relaxing, drama free, weekend at home! We still haven't had the chance to go to the State Fair, so hopefully we'll get to go tomorrow! Sadly, even though I've lived in TX all of my life, I've never been to the Fair. I know..shocker. Bryan's never been either, so it should be really fun for both of us!

Well, that's about it for now! I hope that you all have a GREAT weekend!

Prayer Request!

For those of you who don't already know, we got the call yesterday afternoon that my father-in-law had a seizure and is now in the hospital, in ICU.

Bryan rushed to Shreveport to be with him, and after I got some things together, I drove to Shreveport last night.

Yesterday Bob's (my FIL) heart rate and blood pressure were really high. They took a CAT scan of him and think that he might have some sort of infection? They're not sure what caused the seizure. Today thank goodness his heart rate and blood pressure are down and this morning he told my mother in law that he loved her, so I think things are looking better! We don't know how long he'll be in the ICU or hospital. Please be praying for my family right now! We really need it!

Thank you Jesus for being the ultimate healer and physician! We put all of our trust in you!

One year ago today!

I got engaged to the man of my dreams! I can't believe that it's been a year already! Last year, I officially began planning my wedding, and started on my journey to become Mrs. Bryan Moss. Now, here we are and I'm glad to report the wedding was a success and I am LOVING being Mrs. Moss now! I went back and re-read our engagement story and I am SO glad that I have my blog to record such important events in my life. I had so many great memories reading that over again! Make sure that you go back here and read it if you haven't had the chance, or if you just want to again!

I’ve also uploaded some of my favorite pictures from that night! My knight in shining armor!

The moment when Bryan asked me to be his wife!

When I found out that Kyrbie had driven all the way to be there with me on my night..I couldn't stop crying!
Happy tears! Precious friends!

Best friends! Bryan, Chelsey, Jacque, and Jason
Best friends! Bryan, Chelsey, Morgan, and Chris

The whole gang..I'm so blessed!

One of the happiest nights of my life!!
And to my amazing husband,

Sweetheart, thank you for praying for me and waiting for me all of those years. Thank you for being so amazing to me when we were dating, and now more amazing now that we are married. You are my knight in shining armor, and a true servant of our household. Thank you for loving me like Christ loved the church and making all of my dreams come true! I love you with all of my heart!

Love,
Mrs. Moss

A great day! :)

Today was a good day! :)

My team and I took all day off to plan for the upcoming weeks. It's been really stressful the past couple of months because we've been trying to plan week by week during our conference times and it just hasn't been working. We aren't getting anything done and we just don't have enough time!

So we decided to just take off and take a whole day to plan! It was so nice this morning to not be in any hurry getting to school, knowing I already had a sub! I stopped by a local donut shop and got the team some breakfast treats. :) Thankfully we worked hard and got so much done this morning! We took advantage of our day "off" and went out to lunch at La Madeline's..yummy! We just talked and had some good times, not related to school. That is always good! We came back and finished up the rest, did some housekeeping things, and all decided that we're going to start planning in the afternoons. I really think this will help everyone not to be so stressed out! :)

Other than that, the rest of our weekend plans include driving to Shreveport for the weekend. Rachel is cheering this year at the University of Lousiana at Monroe, and they're home this weekend, so we decided to go down and watch her cheer. We're going to take a small roadtrip with Mom and Dad to go see her on Saturday so we're pretty excited. Oh yeah and Mom also got a brand new mini van, with awesome dvd players in the back and front, so we get to watch movies while Dad drives! Poor Dad..but I don't think he'll mind much!

Not much else has been going on around here. Bryan and I are staying plenty busy with school and grad school. We've also been going to work out 3-4 times during the week, so it's been nice to do that together. Bryan really loves it, because he likes to sweat and make himself really tired. I'm pretty sure it's a guy thing. :) I'd rather be doing anything but working out, but I know it makes him happy, and it's good for me, so I tag along!

We've been doing a lot of traveling (what's new) because of football games, but it's been great to see family! Last weekend, we went down to Lorena again to watch Chandler play, and they won so we were happy! Chase was also in from college, so we got to see him too~exciting news that he got, actually on his birthday, was that he got moved up from playing JV football to VARSITY! He's been doing so good, actually 2nd overall on his team so they moved him up! We were so proud and excited for him! Me, my mom, and all my sisters went out on that Saturday and all went and got pedicures so that was fun! Good girl time! ;)

We're enjoying the fall weather and hoping it stays this way (minus the rain)! I can't wait to finish getting all my fall decorations out! We're really excited about Thanksgiving this year...Jason, Whitney, and Everett are coming in from Germany so everyone can't wait! My husband is also going to do something crazy like cook 3 turkeys or something? Geezz, we're going to be having turkey for years.

Another exciting thing Bryan and I have decided is that we're going to Germany during spring break!! We can't wait! Jason, Whit, and Everett aren't going to be there for much longer, so we're going to go see then while we can. If anyone has any suggestions of where to go or what to do, let us know (Kelly :).

Well, I guess I had a bit more to say than I thought! That does normally happen though :) I hope everyone has a great weekend. Relax and enjoy your friends and family! I know I will!

A Laborless Weekend :)

We had a great weekend in Shreveport and tried to be as lazy as possible! Bryan and I didn't get off until later (thanks to Bryan) but made it to Shreveport around 8:00 that night. Mom and Dad had Philly Cheesesteaks waiting for us. They weren't any Mr. Jim's but they were pretty good! We stayed up talking and then headed to bed.

Saturday morning we slept in and then Bryan went to the gym with the family while I hung out at home. We met for lunch at our favorite McAlister's Deli and it was very yummy! After lunch Bryan and I went and picked up a few things for Mom's birthday that day. We went back to the house and Bryan was great enough to let me have a little bit of shopping time. I've been having withdrawls, so I was VERY excited! I got a couple of cute shirts from JcPenney's and Target and a super cute pair of leopard flats so I was happy! :)

I went back and then we had dinner and watched football for the rest of the night! On Sunday morning we all got up and went to church, then went out to breakfast at Southfield Grill! Yummy also! After breakfast we went back to the house and then the girls went out and did more shopping :) while the guys stayed home and bbq'd for lunch. We had a great afternoon with the family and then Bryan and I drove back home that night.

Monday we slept in, watched t.v, and then later forced ourselves to get up and go work up at school. That was fun-NOT-but we got it done! :)

We had a great weekend! I wish that we had 4 day weekends all the time! :) Hope that your weekend was as great as mine!

A New Look!!

As you've hopefully noticed by now, my blog has received a new look for fall! I was checking blogs tonight and saw on my friend Shyanne's blog that she recently updated her look! I was inspired, so I decided to do the same to mine! I didn't have anything else to do while Bryan watched hours of football, so I got to work. I used several different sites, but finally was satisfied with what I had.

I have had this annoying old background up there that would always show up first, and always be behind my current background for a while now. Well, I decided that since I worked so hard on the new look, I'd try and get rid of that old one. I clicked and clicked, and well, clicked one too many times because I deleted my old template. Yes, I about had a small heart attack when I saw that EVERYTHING was gone!

I don't know how I did it, but THANK GOODNESS that I was able to get it back. Don't ask me how though. I just know it's all there, and it's just the way I want it!

Enjoy~I know that I will! :)

Premium Meme Award!

I got this blog award from my friend Kelsey and am just now getting around to it! Sorry Kels! I have to list 7 traits about myself and pass this award onto 7 other friends.

  1. I am a huge romantic at heart. I have loved fairy tales, romance, and happily ever after stories my entire life. I'm a sucker for them like nobody's business! My favorite movie when I was a little girl was "Cinderella" and I watched it over and over so much that I broke the tape. It's still my favorite movie today.
  2. I love horses. My grandparents have a farm and my uncle raises horses. I've always been around them, and it's been one of my lifelong dreams to one day live in the country on a few acres and own horses. One day it will happen.
  3. I have never broken a bone, been to Disney Land or successfully learned how to ski (water or snow). I love getting flowers more than any other gift. I can't wait to travel the world with my husband. I'm a country girl at heart. I'd rather be in the mountains than in the city.
  4. I love everything about winter. I love snow, hot chocolate, a roaring fire, and the smell of nutmeg and cinnamon.
  5. I'm a very good cook. I learned from my grandmother and mother when I was a little girl. Some of my fondest memories are days that I spent in the kitchen with my grandmother. I didn't know it then, but she taught me so much more than just how to bake an award winning apple pie. She taught me that the only thing in life that mattered, was your relationship with Jesus, how you loved your family, and how you lived life. I miss her so much.
  6. I am a very picky eater. I can sleep through tornadoes. I am obsessed with the color pink. I always, 100% of the time have my toenails painted. I have very pretty toes. I just don't think so, I've been told so all of my life, by a wide range of people. I am a perfectionist, and very stubborn. If you don't stick to the plan and change it without letting me know, I'm not a happy camper. I'm anal about spelling and am an extremely fast reader.
  7. I have known I wanted to be a teacher my whole life. More than that, I have known that I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I CAN'T WAIT until I get to have beautiful babies (in 2 more years). I am blessed!

Ok! Those are mine! Now, I'm passing this award onto Kyrbie, Shyanne, Shaunna, Susan, Cassandra, Amy, and Alicia! Can't wait to read ya'lls! :)

Love/Hate Relationship

I'm at a crossroad with this blog thing right now. I look at how my life used to be, how much an amazing blogger I was, and how I was SO good at posting. I loved it. I look at my life now. I'm married, I have no time, and sometimes no desire to blog. Most of the time I have so much to say, and so much to write about..but I'm honestly too lazy to do it. You bet your boots that I'm on here everyday reading and checking yours; however, when it comes to mine, it's like I don't even want to mess with it. Hmmm..I don't know what's wrong with me! I want to be back to my old self. I don't know what the deal is.

Well, since I don't feel like writing, we'll do my old favorite BULLETS!! :)

  1. The first two weeks of school have gone off without a hitch (fingers crossed that they will that that way)!
  2. I have a wonderful class! I know I'm going to have a much better year!
  3. I'm worried about my team this year, but trying to leave it in God's hands.
  4. I have much more responsibility this year than I did last year. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.
  5. I'm having to completely learn a brand new grade this year. That is hard.
  6. I don't know why the second week of school was more exhausting than the first week, but it sure was rough!
  7. In 2 weeks I will begin my last year of grad school. PTL!
  8. This semester will be the hardest one yet. Pray for me.
  9. Bryan is adjusting to his new job very well. He loves teaching! It's definitely extremely different than what he's used to, but he loves it.
  10. I'm still enjoying my new car! I love her!
  11. Bryan and I can't WAIT for football season to begin. We have 4 different football schedules to accomodate. We're not skeered...BRING IT!
  12. Next week will be our first game. Lorena Leopards home opener..I can't wait to see my brother Chandler. He's amazing..and no I'm not biased.
  13. My brother Chase just started his freshman year at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX. I'm very proud of him and can't wait to see him play. We've been waiting for this day for a while!
  14. My husband is incredible.
  15. He makes me lunch every day and writes love notes on my napkins. Does it get any sweeter?
  16. Married life is amazing. It's also one of the hardest things I've ever done. However, it's COMPLETELY worth it. :)

Ok, well I think that's it. Now, I'm off to pack because we're heading to Shreveport this weekend! Hope ya'll all have a great Labor Day!

The Night Before First Grade!

Yes, that's the title of the book that I'll be reading to my brand new students in first grade tomorrow, because I am their new FIRST GRADE TEACHER!

Yep, the rumors are true, I'm no longer teaching Kindergarten. :( I found out that I was moving to 1st grade about 2 weeks ago. I wish I could say it's been an easy process, but alas it hasn't been. It definitely wasn't expected, and it was definitely a surprise. I was really upset and mad at first, but I handled it, and was able to move on.

We moved everything out of my old room to my new room, and then it's been a week full of fun inservice all week (NOT)!! Ok, well I will admit that it WAS pretty amazing to have the Laura Bush as our Convocation speaker this past Monday. ;) Other than that, I really have had NO time to work in my room and get prepared. At the beginning of last week we had about 48 kids split between myself and another teacher, which was not a good thing. However, thank goodness that we ended up receiving another allocation so we were soooo happy! We ended up having me and 2 other new teachers get hired..so we're all pretty much newbies! We've spent almost all week getting ready in our rooms so we're exhausted. I'm just ready to get tomorrow over and done with!

I know that moving grades isn't what I would have chosen, but I know that God has put me in this place for a reason, whether I can understand it or not! :) I'm excited about having a brand new name and a brand new grade and a brand new year!

Here's to new beginnings!! :)

Everyone...meet Lilly!!!

No, I'm not pregnant and no, we didn't get a dog!! :) I'm proud to introduce you to Lilly, my new.....

CAR!!!!

Yep, that's right!! Last week Bryan and I made our first big purchase as a married couple, and were very excited! We knew that I was going to be getting a new car sometime within the next month or so, but we actually ended up getting it earlier than we thought! We ended up getting an advertisement in the mail from a Ford dealership in Terrell telling us about a big sale. Bryan checked it out and told me we could go check it out!

Well, long story short, we went to the dealership sat for an hour or so talking/walking with a guy at the dealership. Bryan wheeled and dealed with the guy until we got the price that we wanted!! We ended up staying at the dealership for oh, only about 4.5 hrs (something we definitely did NOT expect) but we got everything worked out and I got to drive my new baby off of the car lot! Whoo hoo!

We traded in my old Pontiac Grand Prix at the dealership and I was a little (but not too much) sad about it. I REALLY needed (and wanted) a new car that was shiny, and pretty, and actually had a driver's side window that rolled down! :) However, I will miss my old car. She lasted me for 7 yrs and was good to me. But, make no mistake, Bryan and I are very much in love with Lilly. We dubbed her so because I said she was a very classy looking car, and a classy lady deserved a classy name, then Jason came up with Lilly, so Lilly it was!!

We are very happy and excited! Yay for new cars!! :)

Honeymoon: Day 1

Bryan and I woke up on Sunday, June 28th, packed and headed to the airport around 10:00. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 12:45. Our cab driver asked what our flight # was and we told him, so he called AA to find out what gate we were at. Long story short, he couldn't find the gate, we talked to a flight attendant and found out that our flight time had been changed and we hadn't been notified. Our flight to Cancun was supposed to depart around 11:00 but thankfully the flight got delayed! So basically we were back onto our original flight time! God was really looking out for us that day! ;)
Bryan and I got to the airport and had a quick lunch at Fuddruckers and stopped by a candy shop to get us something to munch on during the flight. The flight ended up being not bad at all..it was only about 2 hours. The only bad thing was that because of all the mix up with our flight changes/times we ended up being "late" to check in and we literally got the last two seats available on the plane...it was SO packed. It was great that we got the seats, BUT they were not together! :( It was very sad and weird that we didn't get to sit together on the plane, but we survived!

It was also very ironic that when we arrived in Cancun this is the first thing we saw.
YEP! It was pouring rain!! We weren't very happy to see that and it's definitely not what I imagined Cancun to be like. However, thank goodness after we got our baggage and got through customs TWO hours later, it had stopped raining!! :)

Bryan and I took a shuttle to our hotel, the Riu Palace Las Americas! It was gorgeous! When we got out of the shuttle, they immediately took care of our bags and just told us to go check in. We checked in and were greeted by smiling faces and a complimentary pretty fruity drink!

We got situated in our hotel, relaxed for a little bit and enjoyed our balcony views!

That evening we went and made dinner reservations for the rest of the week and then went and ate dinner in the main buffet hall. It was pretty good and our favorite that night (and for the week) was definitely the fish! We strolled around the hotel and then went back up to our room for the night!
Definitely interesting first day of our honeymoon, but still exciting none the less! Stay tuned for Day 2!

June 27, 2009

This was a day that I had spent dreaming, hoping, wishing, and planning for for 26 years! Parents, family members, and friends had also been praying for this day for 26 years..and it finally came true on June 27, 2009. On this day, I married my beloved..and it was everything I dreamed of!

The morning of the wedding was pretty uneventful, and thank goodness we didn't have any major castrophes! I had my mom, sisters, amazing matrons of honor and bridesmaids that were by my side, assisting me when needed! I don't know what I would have done without them! I'm so blessed!

Kyrbie and I got to the church (fashionable late of course ;) and joined everyone else to get ready. Everything went pretty smoothly from there on...we got ready, took pictures, and then went on our way!

I don't think I'll be able to express the feeling of those doors swinging open, seeing my beloved's eyes meet mine, and having my father walk me down the isle to give me away. It was a moment I'd waited my whole life for.

The ceremony was precious, truthful, and filled with love and commitment. We vowed 'till death do us part, he put the beautiful, sparkling, ring on my finger, and said "you may kiss the bride". It was perfect!

We were now Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Moss and officially now married! I was giddy with excitement!

The reception was so much fun! Everything looked amazing..the food was wonderful. It was so much fun getting to see friends and family and catch up with everyone! Overall, it was the best night of my life.

On June 27, 2009, all of my dreams came true.

(These are just a few pics that I grabbed off Facebook from Morgan. Our official photographers photos won't be finished for about another week or so. You can view some that Morgan took if you got to my Facebook profile, and then go towards the bottom. All of them were taken by Morgan Smith. Also, here's the Facebook link for all my bridal pictures that I couldn't post before! It's just easier going to the link rather than post them all on here! Let me know if you have any trouble viewing! Oh and we're also famous! Check out the story of us here!)

Thank you Jesus!!

Well, not much time to talk, seeing as I'm GETTING MARRIED IN 2 DAYS :) :) :). However, I just had to get on here and tell everyone the great news!! BRYAN GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!! Remember this post? Well, he got it! The principal of Rockwall Heath called Bryan about a week ago, and wanted him to come in again and meet with him personally (Bryan met with the assistant principal and the science team the first time). So Bryan went, and had a GREAT second interview! He and the principal really hit it off and Bryan loved him! We finally got a call on Tuesday and Bryan was offered the job and of course took it! Bryan will begin teaching Chemistry this fall. We are so excited, relieved, and continuously praising God for being our ultimate provider! Thank you Jesus! So now we can bust out all of our black and red, because the Moss' (soon to be ;) are now officially Heath Hawks!!

I'm getting married on Saturday!!!!!!

I woke up this morning around 7:00 a.m. If you know me, you know that this is NOT normal! ;) I definitely enjoy my sleeping in! I think that part of me remembers my "To Do List" and wants to get a head start on the day, but the other part of me is just so excited!! I can't believe that I'm getting married in 4 days..SERIOUSLY??

I'm sorry that my last post was such a downer..can you tell that I was stressed?! Haha..

Things are much better now though. Bryan and I had the chance to go down to Shreveport and spend some time with his family and celebrate his birthday so that was fun. We relaxed a little, but not too much! ;) We got all of the programs finished, and are still working on scanning all of our pictures for the slideshow. By the way, if you know anything about slideshows, or have any tips for me, I would REALLY appreciate it!

Since we got back to Rockwall, we've been busting it to get the house in a somewhat presentable order, seeing how all our families are coming in soon. We've actually done a really good job! Bryan painted our master bathroom yesterday and it looks great!! I don't think I'm going to get my kitchen and guest bathroom done before the wedding, but I guess I'll have to deal with it! My mom and sister Charity are coming down tomorrow, all of Bryan's family are coming Thursday night, and the rest of the family/wedding party will be in on Friday! I can't wait!

Well, I better go work on this slideshow! Hope you all have a great day! Oh yeah, did I mention that I'm getting M-A-R-R-I-E-D this Saturday??!! :)

no time!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had to choose one thing to describe how I've been feeling the past few weeks, it would be that I have NO TIME! I can make as many check lists possible, and say that I'm going to get it all done, but I just literally run out of time. In the next 13 days, I have to finish packing things at my old house and move them all over to the new house, finish painting 3 more rooms at the new house, and finish planning everything with the wedding. We also have Bryan's birthday on the 18th, Father's Day, and we're driving to Shreveport and will be there the 17-20th. So, basically we have until Tuesday to get most of this done, or else it falls to the week of the wedding (which we're trying to avoid at all costs). Because of that, I make no excuses for not blogging!!

I know that I probably would have already lost my mind by now if it weren't for Bryan. He has been amazing throughout all of this and I don't know what I would have done without him! We're also really stressed because we've mainly been doing this by ourselves. Our families and friends have busy schedules that make it hard to help out, and we just feel bad asking them to take off work, or take time out of their summer. It just sucks.

Bryan always tells me to not stress out and that everything's going to be ok...but when I see that huge To Do List looming over me, it's hard to stay calm. I can promise I'm not going to stress or worry the day of the actual wedding, but as for the next 11 or so days, I make no promises!! :)

I want to make good memories during the next few weeks and enjoy this time. I want to be thankful I have a brand new house and I'm going to have a wonderful brand new husband to go with it! Please pray that I stay calm and that God will provide help for Bryan and I during the next 2 weeks. I know He will..He always does!

13 more days!!!:)

"Just Playing" by Anita Wadley

This is a reminder to all of us how important and essential that "play" is. It's also a reminder to parents that when your child comes home from school and says that all they did was "play", they actually did much more! :)

"Just Playing" by Anita Wadley

When I'm building in the block room,
Please don't say I'm "Just playing."
For, you see, I'm learning as I play,
About balance, I may be an architect someday.

When I'm getting all dressed up,
Setting the table, caring for the babies,
Don't get the idea I'm "Just Playing."
I may be a mother or a father someday.

When you see me up to my elbows in paint,
Or standing at an easel, or molding and shaping clay,
Please don't let me hear you say, "He is Just Playing."
For, you see, I'm learning as I play.
I just might be a teacher someday.

When you see me engrossed in a puzzle or some "playing" at my school,
Please don't feel the time is wasted in "play."
For you see, I'm learning as I play.
I'm learning to solve problems and concentrate.
I may be in business someday.

When you see me cooking or tasting foods,
Please don't think that because I enjoy it, it is "Just Play."
I'm learning to follow directions and see the differences.
I may be a cook someday.

When you see me learning to skip, hop, run, and move my body,
Please don't say I'm "Just Playing."
For, you see, I'm learning as I play.
I'm learning how my body works.
I may be a doctor, nurse, or athlete someday.

When you ask me what I've done at school today,
And I say, "I just played."
Please don't misunderstand me.
For, you see, I'm learning as I play.
I'm learning to enjoy and be successful in my work.
I'm preparing for tomorrow.
Today, I am a child and my work is play
.

One month countdown!!

Wow! I can't believe that it's already May 27th. I didn't think that this day would get here fast enough..but it has. I can't believe that only ONE month from today, I will finally become Mrs. Bryan Mitchell Moss. Seriously, these past 9 months have flown by, and believe you me, I can only imagine how fast the next month will! :) One more month...I think I can make it! :)

P.S. This is my wedding bouquet (but not me, obviously)! What do you think? I LOVE IT!

Prayer Request!

Hey guys! I wanted to let ya'll know of a really important prayer request I have!

We're so excited because Bryan at this very moment is interviewing for a Science position in Rockwall! This is EXACTLY what he has been hoping for and at the school that he wanted! I am asking that you please take a moment and say a quick prayer for him. Please pray that he is relaxed and at peace. Please pray that God gives him the words to say and he is confident while doing so. Most of all, pray that if this is the place that God wants Bryan to be, that He will open the doors for us! We feel that this really is the place he is supposed to be, but we will wait and trust that God, no matter what the outcome!

Thank you in advance for your prayers! Only 37 more days until the wedding! Whoo hoo!

read me!

That's what the 3 new posts below are telling you to do! Oh and they're also saying to leave lots of comments!! :)

For our honeymoon we're going to.....

CANCUN, MEXICO baby!!!!! Whoo hoo! We're so excited! Bryan's parents are taking care of the honeymoon, and they finally told us last week! We're staying at Riu Palace Las Americas all inclusive resort!

Doesn't the water look amazing??! 46 more days, 46 more days and I'll be in paradise!! :) Thanks Mom and Dad!!
Another thing that we're SO excited about is that we just booked our hotel for our wedding night! Ohh la la!! ;) We're staying at the Stoneleigh Hotel and Spa! I totally wish that we could stay for more than one night here, but we're just going to have to head onto our honeymoon! Such a hard life we live!
I can't wait...

nobody ever told me it was going to be this hard :)

Well, I got to have my bridal pictures taken by the fabulous Miss Morgan Smith two weekends ago! It was so much fun and they turned out beautiful, just like we all knew they would! It was however a little stressful, and this is the story of why.

I'd been having a week that was more stressful than normal, trying to decide if I wanted to do my bridals that weekend or the next (because of the stupid weather/rain and my bridals were being taken outside) and finding people who could do my hair and makeup, that would be close to Rockwall AND not charge me an arm and a leg! I also still hadn't found a veil. Speaking of, I'm going to have to stop for a moment and get onto my soapbox.

Veils are ridiculously expensive! I mean COME ON PEOPLE! It's a piece of tulle, with some beads sewn on! NOT WORTH $150-200 + dollars! That's extortion and I can't believe people get away with it. Ok, I'm done with my rant now..back to the story.

Obviously, I was not even thinking of buying a veil at a normal bridal store, so I checked at Michael's and Hobby Lobby, where a few friends told me to check. They were priced really great..HOWEVER, of course they didn't have what I wanted, and even if they did, it was all in white, and I needed ivory. So then I looked into seeing if my mom could make mine, but thankfully we found a solution before we even had to go there!

There's a bridal/prom store called Pat's Gowns in Waco that's really great. Well, I'm renting my petticoat (another thing that you should never buy because they're WAY overpriced) there for the wedding for only $15..yeah that's a steal! So we called and checked to see if by any chance they rented out veils. Good news, they do! So in the end I was able to rent my petticoat and my veil for $30! Thank you Jesus! One problem solved..moving on.

So thankfully I found a lady to do my hair, Michelle, and one to do my make up, Shaunna. My hair appointment was Saturday at 7:30 am and make up at 9:30.

Fast forward to Friday morning at school, I get a call from Morgan saying that her co-worker had surgery and the lady that was supposed to cover for her called and cancelled, so Morgan's work load automatically doubled and she didn't know if she'd be able to do my bridals the next day. I will say that I was proud of myself for staying calm and not freaking out..I mean there were little ones around! Haha..Morgan said she'd try and see what she could do and then call me back.

She called me back about an hour later and miraculously found a way to still be able to take my bridals the next day. Praise the Lord and Halleluia!

Well, don't get too excited yet. A few hours later, I get a call from my hairdresser which goes a little something like this:

Me: "Hello?"
Michelle: "Hi Chelsey, this is Michelle."
Me: "Yes?"
Michelle: "I hate to do this, but I just left the Dr.'s office and I have a blood clot in my leg. I can't do your hair tomorrow."
Me:"Silence"
(while I'm telling myself not to lose it on the phone but also wanting to scream at her WHY OF COURSE YOU WOULD WOULDN'T YOU!!)"

So long story short, after many phone calls, she arranged for another girl that works with her, to do my hair. Thank heavens for Ami! :) Also, later that afternoon, not to be left out, my make up lady called me...but don't worry, she was just checking to make sure I brought some things along with me! :) So, as you can see, my Friday was very-eventful!! :) My mom, sister, and brother Chase came into town that night to assist with my bridals.

Moving on to Saturday, Bridal's day!! Well, the day dawned cloudy and gloomy, but I wasn't going to be put off by the weather on my exciting day! Morgan assured me that the cloudiness wouldn't hurt my pictures, so I trusted her!

Charity went with me and we got my hair and make up done. I wasn't 100% in love with the hair, but I really didn't have any choice because of circumstances and the weather sure wasn't helping! We got back to my house and Morgan and Jacque met my mom, sister and I to help me get all dressed. Can you say ORDEAL? Geez Louise! I never knew it was so much work! I'm seriously allotting myself extra time for the actual wedding, because it takes a village people, a village!

They helped me finish getting ready and we headed to our bridal destination, the Dallas Arboretum (which is actually never what I planned on, but I'm so glad I ended up going there!). We got to the Arboretum and started taking pictures. There were so many great spots, so we were happy!

I have to pause and insert my favorite moment here. There were of course many people there taking pictures, walking around, etc. We had to wade through, let people walk pass, etc while we were taking our pictures. There was a couple that walked up to us, with a little girl who was about 4 years old. We moved out of the way, because we thought they were trying to get by us. However, when Jacque said that they could walk on by, the Mom stopped and said, "No, we came to watch her (motioning towards me). She (her little girl) thinks that she's (me) a princess!" She had to come over and look at her!" Oh my gosh! Can you say precious??!! That seriously made my day! I looked over at the little girl and waved and told her hi, and she smiled and then hid behind her mom. She kept on peeking out at me with this big grin on her face! She was soooo cute! She really made me feel like a princess! :)

We spent a couple of hours taking pictures and then noticed that the sky was growing darker by the minute. We made it back to the entrance and I literally had just enough time to change out of my dress, and get everyone into Morgan's car before it started to P-O-U-R! I mean pouring rain! It was so bad that Morgan literally had to pull off on the side of the road because it was so bad. We just kept on saying "Thank you Jesus for holding the rain!"

So, overall, even though it was an extremely stressful process, I had so much fun doing my bridals! Turns out the cloudy day actually helped my pictures..who would have known? ;)

I've had a sneek peek of some of them and they are AMAZING! Sadly, I can't post them online until after the wedding, but you can bet that I'll be posting them later for all to see!

Even though it was tons more work than I knew it was going to be, I wouldn't have traded it for a minute! 45 more days!

wrong, wrong, wrong!!

While I was at the stoplight this afternoon, I happened to glance over to the Chick-fil-A across the street. I saw a woman standing outside, with her back to me smoking (GROSS). Anyways, well I hate, hate, hate smoke/smoking/smokers, anything having to do with it in general. Well, that's not even the worst part.

So after the lady was done smoking her cigarrette, she threw it on the ground and turned where I could see her side profile, and then I saw that she was PREGNANT!! I'm sure you could see my jaw drop from a mile away! I could not believe it..she was actually smoking and she looked like she was 7 or 8 months pregnant! I was sooooooooo mad..it was all I could do not to go into that Chick-fil-A and give that woman a piece of my mind! Seriously lady, you're PREGNANT!

I'm still smoking (no pun intended) mad about it! That's just wrong people! WRONG!

Oh yeah, king size baby!

When we started my showers, I had this great idea that I wanted to have everyone at the shower write down a piece of marriage advice for Bryan and I. Well at my first Lorena shower, the great ladies gave me a super awesome picture album that we've kept all the advice in. At that shower, one of my hostesses Sarah gave me one of my favorite pieces of advice which said, "Chelsey, keep your hair long, and get a king sized bed! Trust me!" Hahahaha...

Well, today Bryan and I followed her advice and made our first furniture purchase and got a king sized bed! Well, we just bought the mattress and box springs right now..the rest is coming soon. We were so excited with our purchases! We've been looking for a couple of months for a reasonably priced king sized mattress but really haven't found any really good deals..UNTIL this weekend! Bryan was listening on the radio and heard an announcement for The Dump. It's like a wholesale furniture store in Dallas that has awesome furniture. Well, they were having a sale this weekend on mattresses and we decided to go see what they had. I'm so glad we ended up going because we found a total bargain!

Our best friends Jacque and Jason helped us get everything back to our new house, and we ended up getting it all unpacked and into the living room (yes, that's where we have to keep it right now because we're in the middle of painting our master bedroom right now!).

So, in conclusion, we are very excited about our mattress! Thank you Sarah for your great advice! ;)

pre-birthday festivities!!

Wow! I'm so shocked at myself! It is the NIGHT before my birthday and I'm just now getting around to even mentioning it! If you know me at all, this is NOT NORMAL! :) That should give you some inkling to how incredibly busy I have been! Normally, I start counting down my birthday on April 1st~haha. Oh well, I dropped the ball this year, but don't worry..there's always next year!

I can't believe that I'm going to be 26 tomorrow..yes, I said 26! I don't feel 26...I feel younger...oh well at least I don't look it..or that's what they tell me! Bryan says that 26 is going to be a good year for me, and I think I believe him! I sure thought I would be getting married WAY earlier than 26, but I see now that wasn't God's plan! I am glad that I had to wait almost 26 years for this man...I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat~

So, back to the pre-birthday festivities...I'm currently writing this post from Atlanta, Georgia! Yes, relaxing in our super nice hotel, with Bryan and my future mother-in-law. :) This weekend Bryan has his Regional gymnastics meet here in Atlanta, so he decided for my birthday to bring me along. I, of course, said yes!

Bryan and Mom drove over last night, and we all flew out of DFW this morning. Yes, that was quite a story, but we made our flight and arrived here safely. We rented a rental car, drove to our hotel, and just relaxed for a while. For dinner, Mom treated us to a yummy Olive Garden dinner! Thanks Mom!

Tomorrow we're planning to go to the World Acquarium, which I'm very excited about, before we head to the meet. Not sure what else we'll be doing, but I'm sure it will be fun!

Other tidbits of news...I got my big project over with for grad school, which I'm VERY glad about!! The next day I had my formal observation with my principal, which also went really well! I only have one more grad school class for the spring semester, and one more project for that class. Whoo Hoo!! Of course, then I'll be starting a May mini, but it's all online, with one of my favorite professors, and it's my LAST ONE! YEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Well, I guess that's about it! Hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend!

And now I'll sign off one last time as a 25 year old~goodbye age 25! You've been a good age for me and treated me well..and for that, I thank you! :)

disturbing!

I got this e-mail from my Aunt today, and Bryan's always paranoid about this. I normally brush him off, but after seeing this video today, I am officially freaked out! Watch it for yourself and see what I'm talking about! I'll never use my cell phone the same again!!

They have finally arrived!!

And by "they" I mean our BRAND NEW HOUSE PICTURES!! Yes, ladies and gents we F-I-N-A-L-L-Y were able to close on our house last Thursday, April 16th! It has been such a long, stressful process getting here (but from what I hear from other homeowners who's isn't?:) but we completely know that this is the house God meant for us to have! :) We're so excited!

You may look at all of the pictures of our brand new house here if you haven't seen them on Facebook already. Sorry I didn't upload any on here...there were just WAY too many!

So our plan now is to repaint the whole inside of our house...yipee! Bryan will move in at the end of May when he gets out of school and comes to Texas, then I'll move in after the wedding!

Whoo hoo! It's all coming together..slowly but surely. Thank you Jesus for being our protector and provider! We are blessed.

Painting experts needed!

Hello all!

I know, I know..I've turned into a horrible blogger/poster..SO SUE ME!! Anybody else teaching full time, in grad school, planning a wedding, and buying a house at the same time? I DIDN'T THINK SO! Geezzz..

Haha, just kidding! I feel horrible that I haven't been posting lately, but I just honestly can't find the time to do it. But I sure do keep reading..ask Bryan. :)

Well, I'm only on here again to get what I want from you, and that's paint recommendations/suggestions! Bryan and I are still set to close on April 15th, and sadly we are going to have to paint almost the whole inside of the house. You can imagine how excited Bryan is! Hehe..but I'm sorry. I can't deal with mustard, baby poop green, and light blue all over my house! :)

This is where ya'll come in. All you painters out there, what type do we buy? What's the best brand, any good deals, good tips to make sure we know. I'll take anything you can give! Haha..

Well, I love reading what's going on with everyone! Comment away with all your suggestions! Thanks!

One year ago today! :0)

Well, we've sure come along way since this post! Actually, one whole year! Yes, that's right..one year ago Bryan and I made our relationship official!! I can't believe how fast time flies. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday, and at other times, it feels like we've been dating forever. Who would have thought that one year later, I would be engaged to the man of my dreams, and in the middle of planning my wedding?! I sure never did...but I wouldn't change one thing. :)

This year has been completely refining for both myself and Bryan. Our relationship has been through so much, but we've learned from it all..the good and the bad..and grown stronger from it. I can't wait until I get to become Mrs. Bryan Moss and spend the rest of my life with such an amazing man. I love you baby!

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

cherish

Cherish

tr.v. cher·ished, cher·ish·ing, cher·ish·es

1. To treat with tenderness and affection; to nurture with care; to protect and aid; hold dear.

Cherish. I LOVE this word! I think to many people it means different things; however, I know that we all have something/someone that we cherish.

Tonight I had the pleasure of babysitting for my future flower girl, and her little brothers. This is honestly one of my favorite things to do! If you know me, then you know how much I truly love children. You will also know that I am going to be an amazing mother one day! :) I have known this fact and had this desire to be a mother since I was a little girl. Tonight I got to spend time with the kids, cooking their dinner, helping with homework, and giving baths. Some people might not share my excitement of babysitting and might choose to not touch it with a ten foot pole. But not me. :) I cherish it.

One of the things that I especially cherish when I babysit for this family is bedtime with the baby. I love giving him his bath, getting his little pj's on, and then rocking him to sleep. I can honestly say that there is nothing like the feeling of rocking a baby to sleep. I love that he's so small and just curls up on my chest. I love just sitting in the dark, being swayed by the motions of the rocking chair. I love the smell of Johnson's and Johnson's baby wash in his hair. In fact, I will smell his precious baby head several times while rocking him to sleep. :) I love the fact that now he knows me so well, he doesn't fuss or cry at all. He just lays down and goes to sleep. These times are precious to me. I know that he won't always be a baby..one day he's going to be a little boy, who will turn into a teenager, who will one day be a grown man. But for now, he is a beautiful precious baby, and tonight he layed his head down on my shoulder and I rocked him to sleep.

That is one moment that I will always cherish!

read 'em!!

Yes, I've been making up for lost blogging time, so make sure and check out my 4 new posts below!

Great news!!

Well, one reason that I haven't been able to post lately is because Bryan and I have been working on paperwork for OUR NEW HOUSE!! We're so excited!! Now, everything's not "officially" official yet, but Thursday we put our offer in and as of Friday they counter offered our offer with something we were completely ok with! We're just waiting to hear back from our realtor, but we accepted their offer and hopefully the rest is history! If everything works out like planned, we'll close around April 15th! We're SOOOOOOOOO excited! I'll be updating you soon on the house and hopefully next time I can show you pictures!! Please keep praying that everything works out! Here's to hoping that we're almost new homeowners!!!

Will you be my Valentine??

Bryan and I had a great Valentine's Day weekend! I have to take a moment and brag on him for a while!

The Thursday before Valentine's Day, I received a package at school. In this package were red tulips and some yummy Godiva chocolates, with a sweet note from my fiancee! He knows how much I love getting flowers at school, and it was also our 11 month anniversary, so he sent flowers early so I could enjoy them before I came to Shreveport. So sweet!

I went to Shreveport that weekend and spent Valentine's Day with Bryan and his family. When I woke up on Saturday morning, I woke to see these beautiful flowers!

Bryan said that he also wanted to me to have Shreveport flowers, so yes, I got two sets of flowers. Isn't he amazing?!! Yes, I know, I'm spoiled. :)
Here's a close up of one of the lilies in my arrangement. I thought it was beautiful!

Valentine's Day night we got all dressed up and went and ate at a yummy Italian restaurant in Shreveport. We just spent the night together, and it was a great night! Our first official Valentine's Day as a couple was a great success! I love you Bryan Mitchell Moss! :)

a concert dream come true!!

My best friend Jacque called me a couple of weeks ago with some great news that she was freaking out about...which, after she told me, is completely understandable! ;0) She said that she just heard on the news that GEORGE STRAIT and REBA MCENTIRE were going to be in concert in Dallas!!!!!!!

YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! You need to understand that seeing these two artists in concert TOGETHER is something that Jacque, Jason, and I have been hoping, wishing, and dreaming of, for most of our lives. Being able to see them both in concert has always just been a dream..that for all of us actually came true last week! THAT'S RIGHT! We all (Jacque, Jason, Bryan, and I) all got tickets (amazing tickets!!) to the June 6th concert!!! WHOOO HOOO! It's going to be perfect timing because that is literally the Saturday that I get out of school! I can't think of a better way to kick off the summer! ;)

The best part is that we got the tickets in the mail yesterday. Oh yes, here they are for your viewing pleasure!! Be jealous, be very jealous!!!

so embarrassed!

So I just read that it says that I wrote my last post 2 weeks ago! I don't think that I've ever gone that long without posting! Geez! Well, at least I haven't been a total slacker~I've still been reading all of your blogs! Hehe..I just haven't been able to find the desire to blog myself. Today, my long absence of posting will end!! :) I have time because right now, I am sitting in the classroom..B-R-Y-A-N'S classroom!! :) He and his students are working on chemistry problems..um..no thanks! There's a reason why I'm a kindergarten teacher and he's a high school teacher. Haha.

This past weekend I drove to Louisiana, then did MORE driving with Bryan down to Hammond, LA for a gymnastics meet. We got down there Friday night, and came back yesterday afternoon. I didn't feel like driving/being in the car for a total of 6.5 hrs on Sunday, so I took off today, and stayed in Shreveport. I'm glad I did, because I'm glad I finally get to see Bryan in the classroom. He's seen me many times, but I've never had the chance to spend the day with him at school, so I decided to go ahead and do it! We had a good weekend, just a lot of driving!

I'm going to try and catch everybody up with what's been going on the past few weeks, so I'm just going to split it up and do a lot of little posts! The more the better!

Hope ya'll have a great day and a great week!

Check him out!

Well, I'm happy to say that my wonderful fiance' Bryan has finally entered into the blog world! However, I'm sad to say that he never writes on his blog! He's good about reading mine..but not so much writing on his! So, I need everybody's help to comment on his blog and harass him! That way maybe he'll feel bad and write more! ;) Hehe!

Anyways, check him out here!
