You've got to be kidding me

This is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever heard. That's all I'm going to say..even though I'd REALLY like to just get on my soapbox about the subject...but I won't.

I'm so ready..

I'm SO ready for spring! Today is a BEAUTIFUL day. It feels like spring! I love spring for many reasons, which I have decided to post below.

  • the beautiful spring weather!
  • everything is new and green and growing
  • the weather is just right..not too hot, not too cold
  • I love going to the park, running, doing any activity outside in the spring
  • flowers..I love the flowers in the spring..well I love them anytime, but especially in the spring. I have precious memories of my grandmother's flower garden in the spring. It was one of my favorite things to do when I was a little girl to go and help her work in the garden. I miss it so much.
  • SPRING BREAK! Need I say more?!
  • Easter~the wonderful celebration of our Lord's resurrection!
  • my BIRTHDAY...if you don't know yet, my birthday is a HUGE thing to me..and I believe it should be..your birthday is the day that you celebrate you! It should be a big thing. Oh yeah, mine's April 25th. Only 56 more days! Don't worry, I'll be reminding you and giving you a birthday countdown ;0) You won't have any way to forget my birthday!
  • baseball games...there's nothing like a spring baseball game..I love them
  • track season...I love track
  • cute shirts and spring dresses! Pretty much any type of spring clothing
  • spring shoes! Whoo hoo! All the cute flip flops and cute open toed shoes...love 'em
  • the end of the school year..by then, I'm SO ready for summer! 2 full months of absolute freedom!

I'm sure there are many more I could add, but that's about it for now...now if the spring weather would only get here and stay. *sigh*

HILARIOUS!

I came across this post on my friend Stephanie's blog about her sweet little daughters! I'm pretty sure I laughed for about an hour and almost wet my pants in the mean time. I used to babysit these little girls, so I can completely visualize the whole story..they would totally do something like this! You have to read it, because it's soooooooo funny! Love ya Steph! I miss you and those precious little stinkers so much! Oh, the adventures of the Strange family! ;0)

Here teacher..this is for you!

One of my little girls gave me a gift after lunch yesterday. I saw that she had something in her hand when she dropped it and picked it back up, but I didn't think anything of it. We went for our bathroom break and while we were standing waiting in line, she runs up to me with this big smile on her face and goes, "Here Miss Snodgrass! I made this for you!" I open up my hand and she places the item in it. I smiled REALLY big and said, "You did?! For me?! Wow..that was SOOOO sweet of you!" Yeah, from my reaction you would have thought that I had won a million bucks! I gingerly held it in my hand until we got back to the classroom and then placed it on my desk. All I'm saying is that I'm SO glad that she didn't ask me to eat it..or else I would have had to hurt her feelings..no doubt about it. So what was the item she made me, you ask? It was a rolled up ball of bread. Yes, you heard me right, a ROLLED UP BALL OF BREAD!

This is precisely why I love kindergarten so much..you have no idea what these kids are going to do...and I LOVE IT! I mean, who wants flowers, or chocolates, or massages when you could have a rolled up ball of bread, made with love?! Not me ;0)

Why I Didn't Make the Olympics

This is for some certain people that I know will enjoy this video! One of my co-workers e-mailed it to me today, and I couldn't resist posting it. I'm pretty sure I laughed for about an hour..hahahahahaha..

Hilarious!

Normally I am not one that laughs at others in their times or embarrassment or pain. However, this is a completely different matter. I laughed my head off! The faces, the pictures, the ones that make you cringe and say, "OUCH!" and just the "OH CRAP" looks on some of the faces..geezz these are hilarious! I say laugh away..and pray that you never end up in their shoes!

Some teacher funnies

I got this from a friend and it certainly made my day! You might think kids don't say/do these things, but they totally do ALL the time. I could seriously write a book on mine! Well, read on and laugh just like I did!

MARIA: Here it is.

Weekend Update

This post will be completely random, but hey at least I am updating! I will tell you that it is TOTALLY ;0) not my fault that I haven't been posting as much as usual. Not naming any names, but someone (Bryan) has been keeping me up late! So, I'm pleading the 5th and completely blaming him! Hehe..

This weekend was really great! I played hookey and took off of school this past Friday. I drove down to Waco/Lorena to celebrate my mom's birthday. My mom's best friend Shana came into town, so my mom also took Friday off of school. I met them at the beauty shop where my mom got her hair done, and then we went out to eat at McAlister's Deli, my favorite! My mom and Shana proceeded to "grill me" endlessly, but I didn't mind! They were so funny. After lunch, I went and picked up Chalen at school and then we hung out at the house. That evening, we all went to Temple, shopped at Steve and Barry's and then ate at Fazoli's. The night ended wonderfully with a 4 hour conversation with Bryan and then I went to bed!

On Saturday we slept late, decorated/painted Chalen's room and basically just had a lazy afternoon. Then me, my mom, Shana, and Chalen all got dressed and went and did some shopping in Waco. I found some super cute stuff for my house so I was really excited!

We came back home and had my mom's birthday dinner. After dinner we played Catch Phrase and it was SO much fun! I swear I haven't laughed like that in a long time. It was good to laugh with my family and act silly again. We don't do that enough!

Sunday we all woke up, went to church, and then went out and ate at CiCi's. Yummy! I then packed and drove back to Rockwall, went up to school, did some stuff, went to Walmart and then finally came home. I made soup for grad school tonight, unpacked and cleaned the house. Bryan called and we talked for a really long time. Have I said how much he makes me smile and laugh? He's pretty stinkin awesome..even when he says "totally" every other word and is "squishy" hahahaha..those are definitely inside jokes that no one would get, but we do, so it's ok!

Well, I think that's about it for now. I'm sure I'll have more updates for ya'll and I'll try to start posting more! Hope you have a great day!

P.S. I have talked to several people recently that I discovered read my blog. The rule is, you read it, you comment on it! Haha...just joking! However, I would love it if you comment. You don't have to have a blog to comment. You can do it anonymously or leave your name. Anyways, I'll take all the comments I can get!

"In Your Presence" Jeremy Camp

This song soothed my soul tonight! I was overwhelmed with His peace, beauty, and love.

As I bow my head before you, I lay my burdens down at your nail pierced feet,
Every ounce of you radiates your glory, With you I know that I'm complete

You are worthy..you are mighty.. you are my God..

"In Your Presence"

As I stand here in your presence,
Of your beauty I will always stand in awe,
I reach my hands out to the heavens, yeah,
And I lift my voice to you alone, To you alone,

As I bow my head before you,
I lay my burdens down at your nail pierced feet,
Every ounce of you radiates your glory,
With you I know that I'm complete

And I sing Hallelujah,
You are my God, Maker of the heavens,
Hallelujah, You are my LORD,
I bow before your presence,

As I stand here in your presence,
Of your beauty I will always stand in awe,
I reach my hands out to the heavens, yeah,
And I lift my voice to you alone,
And I sing Hallelujah,
You are my God, Maker of the heavens,
Hallelujah, You the LORD of all, Maker of all the heavens,
I can only kneel before your presence,
All the nations praise your Holy Name,
You are the great I Am, More than I can reason,
I realize more that I am needing you,

You are worthy, you are worthy LORD,
You are worthy, You are worthy,
You are mighty, You are mighty,
You are mighty, You are holy,
You are mighty, You are holy ..

President's Day

Well, first I must apoligize for the lack of posting as of recently, but the last post was just really good so I wanted to keep it up for a while! ;0) Plus, I've been really busy and am now talking on the phone during the times I normally write; however, you will not be getting any complaints from me!

This weekend was great. I vegged out, but also got my WHOLE house cleaned, so that was a plus! I hung out with J & J on Saturday and we went to lunch, did some shopping, and had a good long talk. I seriously don't know what I would do without those two! Especially during this time in my life..it's just awesome to have people who've "been there, done that" and have wonderful advice to offer! LOVE them!

Today we had a staff development day and the kids had off. I will admit there's just something about getting to sleep in and then go to work in your jeans that makes for a great morning! The session wasn't bad either. My co-worker friend Courtney, just had a baby, and she came up to school today and brought baby Brody. He is SO cute! I then stole him from her and had him for most of the rest of the morning. He was so good. I fed him the rest of his bottle, burped him, and then he slept in my arms for the rest of the time. I loved having him in my arms this morning, cradling him against my chest. It just felt so right! All of my co-workers said that I looked "so natural holding that baby"...and I completely agree with them!

After the morning session, we all went to Becky's house for lunch. After that we came back to school, and I was one of the lucky ones who got to work in my room! Whoo hoo! This evening I had grad school, which was...well not as bad as last week's class, but still. I'm sorry, I just have problems with sitting for 4 hours, after teaching all day long! Yes, it's my party (or lack thereof) and I'll cry (or complain) if I want to!

Another highlight of my day was some text messages from a certain person. That and the fact that I was called "beautiful". Hmm..maybe if I hear that one a couple more times, I'll start believing it. ;0)

Well folks, I believe that's it for now! Hope your day was super fabulous! Be blessed!

A wonderful day!

If you haven't read the post below, stop and do so now (or you will be confused with this post)!

Today was an awesome day for me! I normally am a scrooge when it comes to Valentine's Day, but since I started teaching, I actually started to like Valentine's Day. The kids made it so fun, and last year they brought me a ton of flowers, which I LOVE, so it was good! This years V-day definitely lived up and passed last years V-Day! My kids were so cute this morning bringing in their presents! I posted pictures of everything (or most of it) I received today.

This is the cute mug thing I got, that was filled with candy hearts. Right now in the cup, is all the extra candy I got. Beside it, are the two really cute stuffed animals I got, a cute bear and a bulldog.
My next favorite gifts were a Chili's gift card and a gift card for a MASSAGE! Yes, that's right!
This is a giant milk chocolate apple Tori gave me!
The giant plate of brownies Justin's mom made me The gorgeous plate she gave me that perfectly matches my kitchen colors!
The back of the plate..sweet!
The beautiful roses that Bryan sent me! Roses are my FAVORITE and I loved all the colors!
They are amazing! So beautiful! :0) Isn't he so sweet?!

I was also proud of myself because I went and did yoga today after school and then when I came home, I went a ran week 4 of Couch to 5K. It was SO hard, but I was SO proud of myself for doing it! Overall, today was a great day!

Well, I'm gonna go. Hope your Valentine's Day was as great as mine!
