I receieved these and a Dr. Pepper Thursday night from my wonderful boyfriend, delivered by his mother and sister! He is so good to me. He was the one who was thinking about me, when I was the one who should have sent him something! *He had the state gymnastics meet this weekend, so was unable to come see me with his mom and sister.* I know how badly he wished he could have been there with us all. I love the flowers...they are so beautiful! I think I'll definitely keep this man around for a while ;0)
Bryan,
Thank you so much for the amazing flowers and my Dr. Pepper! I don't know what I did to deserve someone as wonderful as you. Thank you for always thinking of me and being so thoughtful. You truly make my heart smile! Thank you baby! Can't wait until Thursday! You're the best blessing in my life..

Thursday, March 27, 2008
well then..
That boyfriend of mine told me recently that I haven't posted a blog in a while ( funny he said that, seeing how HE'S the reason why ;0) so I decided I should probably do something to change that!
Spring break update:
Mrs. Willa and Rachel ended up not coming last weekend to shop because Market was closed. It was a very sad day. So Bryan invited me to come down and spend Easter with the family. I left on Thursday and came back on Monday. I'm pretty sure that those were the best 5 days of my life as of recently! I didn't want to come home at all. We spent those days watching movies, playing on Facebook, talking, laughing, and just having so much FUN!
Friday, I got to go up to the gym and meet all of Bryan's girls (that he coaches) and hang out with them. It was definitely fun to see him in his "coach" mode! Haha..the girls were really nice and very good. I had forgotten what it's like to watch gymnasts. They are so amazing..honestly, I was so impressed. It's cool to think of how God made our bodies to be so flexible and do things like that. I had also forgotten what it's like to see girls with almost 0% body fat and 100% muscle! Trust me, if that doesn't make you depressed, I don't know what will! Haha..oh well, it definitely is a great incentive to make me work out more.
After watching practice, Bryan's mom came and picked me up and we went and ate lunch at McAlister's..my favorite!! We had a really good time and were able to talk for a long time. All I can say is that Mrs. Willa is an amazing woman and mother. All of her children are extremely blessed to have her as a mother! After lunch, we met Rachel at the Boardwalk and walked around. We went back to the house and Bryan BBQ'd out for dinner. It was so good! My baby can definitely BBQ!
Saturday we were lazy and I slept in. The weather was absolutely beautiful Saturday! Bryan and I got out that afternoon and went for a walk around the neighborhood, so that was nice! Then we went back and got ready. Bryan took me out to eat Cajun food at Ralph and Kacoo's and I was really proud of myself. Normally, I won't try a lot of new foods, but this time I tried everything! I even tried alligator! It was ok. Bryan said that it was really "gamy"...whatever that means! Anyways it was fun! We sat and talked for a long time, then he took me to get some ice cream at Marble Slab. Yum yum!! We went back to the house and dyed Easter eggs with the family.
Sunday we woke up and went to church. It was such a beautiful day, in so many ways! We had a yummy Easter dinner that night. and then Bryan and I just sat out swinging on the front porch swing for hours. It was so much fun. That boy makes me smile in more ways than I ever thought possible! :0) I am so happy..and blessed.
Sadly, I had to come back home and back to reality on Monday. I did get to catch up with Jacque and Jason..and we know that's always fun! ;0) I've missed them. It was a great ending to a great spring break!
Tonight Mrs. Willa and Rachel are coming down and we're going shopping this weekend, since we didn't get to last weekend! They are on their spring break, so I'm taking Friday off. I can't wait! ;0) I think we're going to do some serious damage at Market and prom dress shopping!
Here are some pictures of the weekend if you haven't seen them already! Hope you have a great day! Be blessed!

I'm probably going to be shot for this..
but oh well! Below I've added the video of my new favorite song, called "When You Look Me in the Eyes" sung by the Jonas Brothers. Now, your opinions of them might be varied, but I guess that's ok :0) I just think they're pretty awesome. I love his/their voices in this song and I love the words. I will definitely be listening to them some more! Listen and see what you think.
"When You Look Me In The Eyes"
If the heart is always searching,
Can you ever find a home?
I've been looking for that someone,
I can't make it on my own.
Dreams can't take the place of loving you,
There's gotta be a million reasons why it's true.
When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.
How long will I be waiting,
To be with you again?
Gonna tell you that I love you,
In the best way that I can.
I can't take a day without you here,
You're the light that makes my darkness disappear.
When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.
Every day, I start to realize,
I can reach my tomorrow,
I can hold my head high,
And it's all because you're by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,

I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

Oh
all is right with the world!
Tonight I got to watch the newest episode of One Tree Hill and you will not believe how incredibly happy I was. Yes, I was screaming and jumping around and acting like a complete fool...but I don't care...because everything is right in the world of One Tree Hill! *sigh*
I also fell in love with a new song they played on the show. It's called "Apologies" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. It's beautiful and fit tonight's episode perfectly! She has such a beautiful voice. I'm so in love.... :0)
"Apologies"
Yesterday he said my eyes
Were fading fast away
I said well what do you expect
You asked me not to stay and if it had all been for the best
I wouldn't feel this way
And he said
Oh he said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
Cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
Of love and fear and apologies
My love is like a blanket
That gets a little bit too warm sometimes
I wanna wrap somebody in it
Who can hold me in his arms
Cause when it got a little too hot in there
He was always stepping out for air and he froze
Oh he froze
He said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
Cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
Of love and fear and apologies
Yesterday he looked at me
With a tear in his eye and said
I'll always tell you you're my friend
I hope i don't have to lie
Cause it's clear you love another man
I said you're damn right
And he said
He said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
Cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
Of love and fear and apologies
He said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
That i didn't figure it out before
And now it's too late for a soliloquy
It's way too late for dignity
It's time for apologies

I just put up a lot of posts, so scroll on down and don't forget to read them all! Oh and comments are welcomed! ;0)
Kindergarten tuckered him out!
Bryan is totally going to hate this post, but OH WELL! ;0) Sorry baby! :0)
On Friday he came up to school and got to meet my kids and a bunch of my co-workers. My kids LOVED him! They were seriously like attatched at the hip or something. That afternoon we also had our Easter egg hunt, so Bryan got to help out with that. After school got out, Barb and I were at my desk working on my laptop, when she makes a remark and I look over and see THIS:
Yes, he fell asleep in my rocker! It was so funny that I had to grab my camera and take a picture of it! Hahahaha..it was just so cute I couldn't resist!
Man, if we wore him out this bad with only the egg hunt, I hate to see how bad he'll be when he goes with us on our all day field trip to the zoo! Hahahahaha...

Meet the family(some of them) part deuce
To make a long story short, (or for me, a short story long) my sister Charity and her boyfriend Luke, came to stay with me this weekend and wanted to meet Bryan, so he drove up from LA to also spend the weekend with us. We all planned to go out to dinner on Friday night, and also asked Jacque and Jason to go eat with us too. Our party of 6 ended up turning into a party of 10!
Well, turns out that my mom/family couldn't stand the thought of Charity getting to meet Bryan before they did, so my parents and Chandler and Chalen ended up coming and spending the weekend with us also! We had lots of fun and of course everyone loved him! I put below a few pictures that we took on Friday night before dinner! Enjoy!

"Say" John Mayer
I heard this song the other day, and since then have become OBSESSED with it. It's pretty much amazing. I love the words..and have been living them. Lyrics are posted below. Listen and learn my friends....
Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put 'em in quotations
Say what you need to say [x8]
Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you'd be better off instead,
If you could only ...
Say what you need to say [x8]
Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You'd better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again
Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open
Say what you need to say [x24]
Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put 'em in quotations
Say what you need to say [x8]
Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment

I'm back!
Sorry it's been so long since I've updated! I will admit I wanted to keep the last post up for a little while! And you can't beat 12 comments ;0) That's the most I've ever gotten on 1 post! Hehe..
Anyways, for a quick update, the most exciting thing going on right now is that I'm on SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!! You couldn't tell I was excited or anything right? ;0) Man, I barely made it without losing my mind!
I started off spring break by going to the dentist and got a wonderful report. Then I drove down to Lorena to hang out with my family for a few days. Today I have a hair appointment to get a cut and color, so I'm super excited about that! I'm going to go back to Rockwall later during the week and then Bryan's mom, Miss Willa and his sister, Rachel are coming down to stay with me and we're going SHOPPING!! Yeah, you couldn't tell I was excited about that one either huh? ;0) We're going prom dress shopping for Rachel, and then Miss Willa is taking me shopping to Market. I've never been, but from what I've heard it's pretty much like my shopping fantasy! I can't wait! Well, that's it for this post. I'm going to do a couple more, so keep reading! Hope you're enjoying your spring break if you have it now, and if not, hope you have a great week at work!

Be jealous!
Sorry to those of you who still haven't gotten to see pictures of the weekend. Blogger still won't let me post any! Grrrrr! If you aren't on Facebook, feel free to send me your e-mail address and I can e-mail you pictures.
Now, on to why you should be jealous of me (if you are a fellow teacher, or have to dress professionally). Yesterday at our faculty meeting, they told us that in order to raise money for the RHHS senior scholarship fund, RISD is allowing teachers to "buy" jean days on certain weeks. So like for this week, we bought jean days for Wed, Thurs, and Friday for a whopping $5.00! Whoo hoo! Later during April and May, they will also offer jean week again and you can buy a whole week worth of jeans for $10.00!
Let me tell you, teachers were almost running people down to go get our money and our jean passes! Haha..our principal just laughed at us and said that teachers would do ANYTHING for jean days! You BET we would! So, here I sit, basking in the comfortablility of wearing my jeans..on a WEDNESDAY! Beat that! ;0)
P.S. If you are a mother, or someone who gets to work at home, you may not comment. I don't want to hear "Oh, well I get to wear jeans every day!" ;0)

if you just can't help yourself and have to see some pictures NOW, look on Facebook. If you don't have Facebook, well..sorry Charlie! Stupid blogger STILL isn't letting me add pictures! Is anyone else having this problem?
"Meet the Parents/Family" weekend!
No, I'm not talking about the movie; although it is really funny! I'm referring to the fabulous weekend I had!
I went down on Saturday and met Bryan at his gymnastic meet in Tyler. We then left my car at UT Tyler and drove to Shreveport, LA to meet his family. Morgan has told me many great things about the Moss family, but I definitely got to experience them first hand this weekend. Honestly I could go on and on about how amazing his family was, but I won't! I'll just say that I had SO much fun, felt completely welcome, and can't wait to go back! His family is just precious!
Me, Bryan, Morgan, Chris, and Morgan's parents all went on Saturday night to see Cirque du Soleil in Shreveport. I've never been before, but I LOVED it! It was sooooo cool!! It was amazing to see some of the things that these people can do..I mean WOW! After the show, we all went up to Bryan's gym and played around. It was fun! On Sunday morning, we woke up, had breakfast with the family, went to church, and had lunch at my all time favorite place...McALISTER'S DELI! It was yummy and we just all sat outside and talked for a while.
After lunch, we all went back home and Bryan and I packed up and headed back to Tyler. (Bryan had to finish the rest of his meet). I went and got to watch his girls for a little while and then I headed home.
Overall, this weekend was awesome! The Moss family turned out to be everything that I expected and even more! I do have pictures, but unfortunately, right now blogger is being stupid and not uploading any of them. I'll try to upload them later!

Dear Chelsey...(and anyone else this applies to!)
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
(this e-mail was forwarded to me from a coworker today..we'll just say that it hit the spot
..ok God..I've got the message!)

defeated
Since today was such a pretty day, I decided to go out running and continue my Couch to 5K program since I haven't been able to go in a while (Vanessa, I'm almost done with week 4).
I don't know what happened but today's run was...horrible. It was just so hard. I sucessfully completed exactly what the workout said to do, so you'd think I would be happy about that-but I'm not. I honestly have never felt so fat, and ugly, and insecure as I did this afternoon. It just felt like Satan was holding a pillow over my face, suffocating me...I couldn't breathe. I'm so disgusted with myself.
I feel so defeated.

Goooooo Jason!
(First of all, don't forget to scroll down and read the rest of my posts today..I've been a posting fool!)
I'm proudly bragging on my American Idol fav tonight...none other than Jason Castro! If you haven't read this post, go back and read it and you'll understand. I was soooo excited tonight that he did so well (which I knew he would..duh!) but more excited about the awesome comments he got from all the judges! ESPECIALLY SIMON! Hopefully you watched tonight's episode, but if not, search him on youtube.
In case you missed it, here are some of the super comments he got tonight!
Randy said :" Great level of difficulty...I give you props for coming out without the guitar."
Paula said : "You made it sound effortless and with ease....you are unique and definitely recognizable!"
Simon said: "I thought it was absolutely brilliant...probably one of my favorite performances of the whole night..your strongest so far..you are getting better and better and better!"
And I said :"WHOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!!" while clapping and yelling very loudly!
Man, it was a great AA night! The guys all did amazing! Make sure you go and vote people..and you better be voting for Jason! ;0) I know I am!

Also, if you would like to check Jason out a little more, watch his videos here! One of the things that I love best about him, (other than the fact that he has an amazing voice and sweet guitar skills) is that he's a Christian man who's in love with the Lord! He's such a servant and glorifies God with the abilities that he's been given! What a testimony!
Cactus Cuties!
I received an e-mail from my friend Shana tonight telling me to watch this video. These girls are from Lubbock and sang at the Tech game. Then I watched it...OH MY GOSH! That was sooooo amazing! I'm just in awe of all of their talent! Their ability to harmonize and sing at that age is almost unheard of! You HAVE to check them out. You'll be as amazed as I was!
P.S Their ages are: 13, 11, 11, 10, and 8! Geezz louise!! I can't imagine how incredible they're going to be when they are adults!

Oh my gosh! I found this video while watching the Cactus Cuties video, and I'm pretty sure it's the cutest thing that I've EVER seen. I'm pretty sure that I was like this when I was her age! ;0) Jason you're gonna LOVE her! Everybody check her out!

Celebrating the small victories!
I know to some people, the things on here that I post might not seem like a big deal, when I talk about my kids. However, when they accomplish something that I know they've been trying to do for a long time, it's SO exciting! For me, and for them! We both put so much work and effort into it, that I love when they succeed!
The victory that I'm celebrating today is that two of my little girls were finally able to tie their shoes! It might seem like a small thing to you, but actually that's HUGE! Do you actually remember learning to tie your shoes? Do you remember who taught you? Do you remember the time you actually succeeded and correctly tied your shoes for the first time, the right way? And I don't mean coming up with some type of knot, that kept the laces tied...an ACTUAL tie!
One thing that I start out with at the beginning of the school year, is telling the students that I will not tie their shoes. They will come up to me and always ask me to tie their shoes, and I always say, "Sorry! I don't tie shoes. Tie them yourself or go find a friend!" To some people this may seem harsh, but honestly it's the only way that the kids will become independent and try on their own. If they know that I won't tie it and they can't tie it, they aren't really left with any other options other than learning to tie their shoes, or walking around with untied laces. Believe me, I've seen some kids never learn how to tie their shoes and go all year like that...but most of them will learn out of necessity!
I won't tie my kids shoes, but I will teach them how..and that's what I've been doing for many months now with 2 little girls. It has been hard and frustrating for me, and for them..but we just keep practicing and practicing! Today they came up to me and said, "Miss Snodgrass, we can tie our shoes!" Now, keep in mind, they've been telling me this for the past couple of months. Almost every child will tell you that they can "tie shoes"..but whether they can actually do it is a COMPLETELY different story! So when my girls came and told me this morning, I actually thought, "yeah, sure." But then they sat down, and showed me! THEY ACTUALLY DID IT! You honestly have no idea how excited I was..they tied their own shoes! All of our hard work and frustration has finally paid off! I just lavished praise and excitement on them, then gave them a high five and a big hug. You should have seen them..they were so proud! You would have thought they won the lottery or something!
So today, I celebrate the small victories with my kids..no matter what they are..they are celebrated!

Well, since you don't have a blog, I don't have anywhere to comment back. Therefore, you get your own post! Girl, I laughed so hard when I read your comment! Glad to see that you're still reading! Well, you could say that I've been pleasantly occupied as of recently, so that, plus the fact that the weather has been crazy, I haven't had the chance to run in a while. However, hopefully that will change (the weather ;0) soon.
Well, I think you need to start your own blog and enter the blog world! It's REALLY fun! Have a great day and keep commenting! :0)
Love,
Chelsey

I just realized/found out that I have homework and a project due tomorrow for grad class. I haven't started on anything and can't get ahold of my partner. It's 9:00 p.m and I'm just starting. I am officially freaking out. Pray for me...
