I started the "Couch to 5K Running Plan" today. It actually wasn't that bad..except for the biting wind in my face! For a while I have been wanting to shed some of those unwanted pounds, and become more healthy. I've pretty much tried everything under the sun in order to do this...except run. I would go to the gym and work out...and run on the treadmill or do the eliptical machine..but I would never lose more than maybe 5 or so lbs. And it wasn't like I was cheating with my food or working out once a week. I was GOOD!
Because of this, I am going to do the thing that I have not done. Run. I'm not working about going to the gym and lifting weights, etc. I'm going to run, run, run. I honestly think that's how I'm going to lose the weight. After I do that, then I can worry about lifting weights to tone up..but that's my last goal. I just thought back to high school (when I was the skinniest of course) and thought about what I did. This was the time that I was cheering, but I was also in track...hence the running..hence the me being skinny..
So, I guess you could say I'm going back to high school. Wow, I never thought I'd say that one again...so, go me! Hope this works!
